I have the 2nd tale and I think they must put a sealant over the paper because I had a great deal of trouble finding a medium that the paper accepted. I am still looking. I may try my prisma's & lightfast. I was hoping to do a watercolour base but my Albrecht Druher and inktense were epic fails. Could you do a colour along in the 2nd tale so I can learn some tips off you please. It would help me so much. Much love & *Virtual hugs* your Aussie subscriber xxx
I just got my first and only Eriy book the other day and I keep flipping through the pages and I love the images but I just don't know how to go about coloring them! I've never colored Eriy's style of illustrations before so I'm having a hard time figuring out where to begin and how to color it!
Its a different style for sure! I like start with a base layer of watercolors when i don’t know where to start. Its easier to map out the colors. To create a plan And give you some starting point. 🤗💕
@@amandjuh8885 Yea that makes sense, great idea! Thank you for the helpful tip! I don't have watercolors yet but I have a set of Faber Castell gelatos and I have the set of KingArt gel sticks. I think the gel sticks might work in place of the watercolors because of the way I have to use them. KingArt isn't a bad brand, but they're no Derwent, Faber Castell, or Caran d'Ache lol! I love the range of colors but you can't color with them and then activate with water the way you can with gelatos or neocolor ii. I have to put some on a palette and mix it around with a water brush to activate it on the palette, and then I can pick up the color with my brush and basically paint with it. My gelatos are iridescent so I usually don't activate them with water. I just smudge them into the paper lol! I have a white one and a light blue color that are perfect for coloring a moon. Sorry this comment is so long! But again, thank you so much for the advice! I really appreciate it!
