My university is very old and there are lots of rickety brick sidewalks that make it a bit scary to free skate on - but it’s a good challenge and I love seeing people’s surprised faces when they see free skates for the first time. Thank you for the tips, they’re really helpful!! 😊
That is awesome! The more you ride and get comfortable, the more you'll be able to handle. Don't push it too much in the beginning. Work your way up!

We've all been there! It's part of the process
I'm definitely guilty of the arm waving bit, but then again I'm only 4 weeks into my journey, so I'm not judging myself too hard for it.
You said that waving the arms around won't change what the legs are doing, and that's true, but early on in learning the arms can be very important for helping to maintain balance while the legs and feet learn what to do.
So I think it's something that beginners will have to do, and as they become more comfortable and confident in their footwork they can work on reducing it.
I like waving my arms. Looks und feels more like surfing.
This is the video I need. I look so dumb on freeskates even though I can ride them. Lol. My main issue is simply just not spending enough time on them though. Now that the weather is cooling off hopefully I can practice more!

Could you guys do a tutorial on how to exit a bowl cleanly? The skates like to fly around every time I end a bowl run by riding up and out of the ramp
