45 years since I was there. We always stayed in Shanklin but would walk along the coast to Sandown. The beach I remember was not sand but pebbles. Great memories, thanks for posting.

lived and worked on the island for over 6 years! its the most beautifull place ive ever seen! so much entertainment during the summer i didnt know where to go next! absolutely fell in love with the island and the residents, wish i could move back permanently! ps- blacksmiths arms outside newport, best food youll ever get on the island!!
Unusual and enjoyable approach to capturing my adopted home, really loved it, especially the amusing sight of the kayakers paddles going ten to the dozen!

Still looks nice but now Browns pretty much gone (closes early even in summer) the small Browns arcade having gone years ago and now Wightcity now gone, it's just not the same. If you don't have memories of growing up seeing those places though, then it doesn't matter as it's still a nice place to stay.

Lived here all my life, stunning place but be aware the work here is a joke. Hard to get a job and minimum wages everywhere. Having said that I wouldnt live anywhere else....
why time lapse a film how do you expect us to see what there is on offer properly
Shame it doesnt show, all the burnt out, derelict buildings. Drunks and Druggies staggering around and the smell of weed, everytime you walk up the High Street.
isle of wight is a joke shit all jobs expensive ferry same people everwhere as its an island mostly old, behind the times but its got great beach so live there for the beach but dont go in the sea cos its freezing the isalnd is game over

the last time I went in the summer the water was lovely and warm and at least it gets more sunshine and clear blue skies than most places of the uk especially more than the main land
douglas blackford . he`s probably more with it than you . there`s a lot of poverty over there in some parts of the island but people only show sunny vids and holiday makers but no one shows that , just as there`s no vids of anyone walking around the island , freezing in the winter as they can`t afford all the yuppie look at me gear . with regards
i have lived on the island before, had to move back to the mainland, for health reasons, but as long as you find work, its a lovely place to live
