What it's like to stay at the CHEAPEST ROOM at the FLAMINGO | Room & Hotel Tour 2024

- Come and join me as I stay and tour the oldest hotel on the Las Vegas Strip - the FLAMINGO LAS VEGAS!
This is a comped stay between January 2nd - 4th, 2024; which meant that I only paid for taxes and resort fees.
The Flamingo is one of the PERFECT options for first-timers and/or if you're coming with a big group as it's budget friendly and centrally located!

That room needs a refresh for sure and looked a little gross in the shower. The other rooms I've seen that have been updated don't look too bad and I wouldn't mind staying there. If not for the history of the Flamingo and center Strip location. Keep wandering and enjoying life!
Yeah I was surprised when I first walked in this room. I thought it would be a little newer than this; I never realized they have this type of room at this hotel. I can't complain though as my stay was comped 😅 What I liked about this hotel though was how close it was to everything; I loved the fact that it's next door to the Linq Promenade and across Caesars Palace.

Actually, i think the room looked pretty good! Beds looked comfy, loved the bedside lamp 🦩🦩🦩🙂.
Perhaps if you mentioned what bothered you as you went along the room tour, we might have seen what you saw 😉.

I agree, the room served its purpose which is a place to rest after a fun day in Vegas ☺️
The things that I was trying to mention (not necessarily bothered by) were the bathroom being dirty (molds in the grout and sink), closet won’t close anymore, dusty room, and furniture that needs some TLC.
I would stay at the Flamingo again but I’ll book the next tier room.

It definitely is a great option! I would suggest to book at least the “Flamingo Room”; these rooms are not as dated as the Fab Room (one shown in this video).

Thanks for making the video, it’s a budget hotel but still a fun place to stay and as you said, it’s in a great location. The Flamingo as it stands now opened in 1986, it does stand on the same site as the previous two hotels (first one opened in 1946), but sadly there is nothing left of their existance.

Flamingo is a great budget friendly hotel. Stayed there a couple weeks ago. The room was decent, bathroom was a little dingy but still relatively clean. Starbucks was just opening. One of the few properties where you don't have to walk a mile to get to your room. The center strip location can't be beat (for the price).
Were you in the same room type as I was?
I agree; you can't beat the price for its location. The property could use some TLC but if you're just looking for a place to crash then this will do the trick.

@@thewanderingjakeno i think mine was the updated rooms with the pink/white motif. the ceiling and grout lines in the tub/shower definitely looked a little suspect but rest of the bathroom was clean. i was on the 26th floor in the spa tower which seemed like that floor was updated. it looked like they were refreshing the floors and the public areas. but agree there are still dated parts of the hotel that need a little tlc. did enjoy piff the magic dragon show there though!

I am not sure as this is my first time staying here.
The carpets looked pretty old though. 😂
