Meenakshi amman temple is the oldest temple in world! Sri sundareswara lingam(lord shiva)is the oldest in the world!!! Lord shiva was the 3rd king of madurai (Pandiya kingdom) in the name of Sundareswara pandiyan! Meenakshi amman's Murthi (statue) is made of pure and very rare emerald stone.
