    022 - Energy Concepts
In this video Paul Andersen explains the different forms and units for energy. A discussion of the laws of thermodynamics is also included. Sample conversion problems using dimensional analysis is also included.

Can you explain us moment of inertia and polar moment of inertia cg and centroid and first moment of inertia second moment of inertia and mass moment of inertia?, a clear difference between them they are so complicated to understand the concept ?

I feel like that energy thing is wrong.....so, a 60 watt bulb on for 18 seconds, assuming this is a 60wh bulb, 1080 kwh for 18 minuets to power this bulb, and a google search only takes 0.0003kwh and does this in less time. so a one google search is instead a 60 watt bulb for .28 seconds

The real question is how long could a light bulb last with the amount of energy required to watch this video?

The dimensional analysis calculation is not done correctly and is very confusing as a result. kWh are units of energy, seconds are units of time and they are not equal. The results of a dimensional analysis calculation should have the same dimensions as the original number. Power=Energy/time, so time = Energy/Power. The correct way to do this calculation is to convert energy in kWh to Joules first. THEN divide the Energy in Joules by the Power in Joules per second (Watts.) to find the time. Simply tacking on the (1s/60J) to the end of the unit conversion and saying that energy is equal to time is not valid dimensional analysis, or a valid statement. The conversion is between two different units for energy, not two different forms of energy. Chemical energy is not a form of potential energy. Electrical potential energy is not a form of chemical energy. Batteries convert the chemical energy stored in chemical bonds into electrical potential energy, which is associated with the positions of the positive and negative charges at the battery terminals, not the bonds in the chemicals. Electrical potential energy can also be produced from mechanical energy, through the process of magnetic induction. There is no chemical energy involved there. "Electricity" (Charge? Electrical Potential Energy? Electrical Current?) is not a form of Kinetic Energy.
