    I just picked up an Emerald X30 (jumbo!) from Ireland. Carbon guitars don't have hard edge limitations. The curves and swoops that can be used in the design make them so comfortable to play. I never have to worry about humidity and temperature ever again. Neck will never need a reset. Want a 12 string? Perfect application as the neck is soooo stable.

    Excellent programme. I heard that the top end Lava guitars have their necks/frets 'pleked' at the factory, which should, from what I've heard, mean the neck is close to 'perfect.' What dou you guys think.
    I think guitars will split into about two branches, guitars like the Lava and the traditional wooden guitar. In the future, tech is going to get involved in virtually everything around us. Wooden guitars will become... legacy instruments. If you think about it, the Lava is a guitar that's decided to compete with modern computer-linked keyboard instruments. This is... evolution or the guitar playing catch-up with modern ways of making music, which are overwhelmingly computer>/keyboard based, at least in popular music.
    Personally, I don't know if I really like all this change. However, the guitar has to change, or fade away, replaced by something else, something with more and easier possibilities. For most people, the Lava is a great inovation and the sound is 'good enough.'

      Thanks for watching & for the feedback! The guitars are Pleked & that does set them up to nearly perfect, playability is not an issue!

    What's the difference between the 36 inch and 38 inch model and do you have both in stock?

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  Před rokem

      2 inches and about $200. We have the 38" in stock!

  • @TheAkkaSamurai

    Do you know which size they sent you? Looking at their store page and they have a 36 and 38 inch model option.

      This demo we believe should be the 38in option but we have had both sizes in our store. Thanks for watching!

      @@AcousticShoppe did you feel like there’s a major difference between the two sizes? Unfortunately, only the 36” is in stock.

    • @lynneftw
      @lynneftw Před 2 lety +1

      @@TheAkkaSamurai I would buy the 36" because it's more travel-friendly, and still sounds big. Lots of videos using the Lava Me 2 in the smaller size. Same sound as a Lava Me 3, but without the touch screen.

    I wonder how long the internal battery will last, compared to a mobil phone battery? Can one put a new battery in it?

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  Před rokem

      That's a good question! We have not tested the batteries but so far we have heard no complaints if that helps!

    Don't think I'm in the target demographic but if my granddaughter showed interest, I'd certainly be an enabler. Looks like fun, but an electric guitar set up with modeling Amp and looper pedal can be had at the same price point. Prefer a pedal for the looper anyway. And yep, have plugged in the acoustic just for fun.

    I could probably tinker with this guitar for about 30 minutes before I get bored and then grab a nice Eastman. Sorry but I’m pretty old school when it comes to guitars.

    Carbon fiber guitar's sound terrible,
    but this guitar with built-in sound effects and speaker is just a bit of fun.
    Complete Toy.
    I'd like to play one for fun.
    Wood is king and always will be till we run out of timber.
    Great video thanks

      I think people hear things differently. There are some blind tests on CZcams comparing the sound of carbon fibre and wood guitars, and in those tests a lot of people prefer the sound of the carbon fibre.

    • @lynneftw
      @lynneftw Před 2 lety +1

      It actually sounds very good. Nothing like plastic or high pressure laminate.

  • @michaelk5507

    Do these things really sound as terrible as people say they do? Or is that just prejudice?

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  Před rokem

      No carbon guitars will truly sound like a wooden guitar, but as far as carbon fiber guitars go, we like the Lava ME 3!

    • @dragonf1092
      @dragonf1092 Před rokem

      I think they sound better,I have the blue me 2 it sounds great, they don't warp like wood guitars.

  • @stephen25uk
    @stephen25uk Před 10 měsíci

    Not the end of wooden guitars. All videos of CF guitars on CZcams are demos. Serious guitarists all use traditional guitars to make their music videos. Ok for travel or beginners but they sound very plinkety plonk to me.
