Louis van Gaal and his players enjoyed a meeting with a group of fans at the Manchester United Foundation Dream Day on Monday, and one even had some transfer market advice for the manager!
The supporters, who suffer from life-limiting illnesses, visited the Aon Training Complex to watch the squad train, before enjoying a meeting with van Gaal and their United heroes.

Manchester United have always and will always bend over backwards for charities. Most of it goes unreported but even what is reported is more than most clubs do. What a club! Putting so many smiles on so many faces of those they try to bring joy to. I remember they went to a hospital and there was a kid that was a man city fan so instead of giving him a signed united shirt they sent someone out to buy a city shirt and signed that for him instead. pure class!!!! Give credit where it's due

Henry-Luis Lázaro Alonso What you might not know is that LVG and his wife Truus have been the directors of a Dutch foundation called 'Spieren voor Spieren (Muscles for Muscles)' for 14 years. Predominantly muscle diseases in children. He took that foundation, brought many sports players together (not only football but every other sport), created awareness and made sure the money went into the right places. Started off with 30 grand to 3 million annual collections. Now this foundation has become a household name in the charity department. And the money is actually rightfully invested. You can't say that about many other so called 'charities'. Sadly he had to give that up to be coach for Man Utd. He handed it over to Pieter van de Hoogeband (Dutch swimmer). Louis doesn't give many interview on Television, but when he was asked at a famous talkshow (about his upcoming United Job) he only agreed to do it if he was allowed to spend half the time talking about this charity. He might seem arrogant at times but he really has a good heart for people.
