this is everything I love about this band AND it has what I would consider to be the hardest vocal performance from Invent yet. we are less than 3 weeks into 2024 and they're already making jumps at my SOTY spot for the 6th year in a row (2019-2024). IA forever

Its genuinely unreal how absolutely amazing this band is between them and silent planet i have yet to hear a bad or "eh" type of song
This song is the perfect example of what Invent Animate is about. It has aspects from their fast, heavy, slower and emotional songs all in one. There's a ton to dissect here, insane song for being a random unexpected single. It's obvious how a band like this won metalcore's AOTY last year. Been here since Everchanger dropped, it's insane to hear how y'all have grown and improved. God tier band.
Between IA and ERRA, UNFD is killing it.

Love that the clean guitar at 0:57 is the same motif that shows up in “Elysium,” just in a different key.
Some of Marcus' best screams, great performance. "Tasting what is tasteless, facing what is faceless" love that line/pattern.
I'm looking out for March 2024, the year anniversary of Heavener if they end up doing a deluxe version like Erra did for their self-titled featuring new tracks.

@@jaakezzz_G Honestly I agree to an extent. I really love Stillworld and Everchanger. Compared to the newer albums like Heavener and Greyview it was definitely a better style for them imo. I love both new albums but those first two were something else. Luna, Sol and Dead Roots are still my favorite songs by them by a long shot.
I'm always down for more Invent Animate! Somehow the ambience, riffs & structure remind me of Stillworld. I love all the elements of their music. Also, neat color palette for the video.
this is insane. 2023 was absolutely the year of invent, and if they keep this up it could shape up to be their decade. releasing something like this after heavener (both the song and the album) just proves that they can keep momentum and continuously improve on their sound. if this ends up being a part of a deluxe album, heavener could be AOTY two years in a row, and if they manage to do big projects every two to even four years it would be worth every second of the wait. this is an incredible band and all they deserve all the recognition they can get.

What a banger! Ambience from stillword(icy and cold), Riffs Heavener Like(Labyrinthine and Immolation of Night), the chorus thornhill(the dark Pool) Like but heavier, 1st half of 2nd breakdown reminded me of Currents (the Place i feel safest). 2024 couldn‘t have started better!♥️🙌🏼🔥

Thank you Invent for sticking to your roots by staying technical and heavy while managing to maintain the soft parts. The breakdown after 'Descend' Marcus cleans are haunting AF i like what he did there, the expeimentation with that type of stuff is brilliant. Been a fan since the Wolf Skin days and im floored at the fact you guys are still keeping up and excelling past everything else in the genre. Its been full stream since you guys dropped cloud cascade and im all here for it. IA is always gonna be my goated band

I've never been more impressed. In this song you can actually feel, not feel a single thing, but just feel it, in a way it stops being a song and turns into a whole different new universe.

I don't know this band too well, but I love how they're playing this super intense metalcore song with cold, twisting liminal spaces in the background. Really adds to the emotions and concepts the song is going for, especially with the lyrics.
