    Thanks! Cool ideas. I think I will do this in Ableton, but drop the individual hits into a drum rack and pan them each a little bit away from each other.

    I am having trouble copying patterns as I don't know how to see what sort of "size" (bars 1/16 1 bar? I never know, I use ableton and I am not familiar with cubase I feel so stupid not knowing this

  • @jomorkenstrseth3526
    @jomorkenstrseth3526 Před 2 lety

    I learn backwards so I suck at just knowing ratios and I get easily confused about sizes of stuff.I got stuck on this. I can't see how long the notes are

    This is very interesting.
    What about using a sampler, with different sounds across a few keys? Would that make things easier and quicker to arrange? Also much easier to strip out all instances of a particular sound for reverse engineering the build-up effect you mention?

    Maybe a video about putting together songs in ableton or whatever/how to approach making a psytrance album /multi track kinda abomination/grouping channels in ableton or etc

  • @mark-yj5sg
    @mark-yj5sg Před 6 lety +2

    Maybe it would be easier to put all those synth hits onto the pads of a drum machine, then you could just use your midi rhythm and pull the notes up or down in the editor to trigger whatever sound you want??

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  Před 6 lety

      Yes, BUT I prefer the individual sample freedom that this method offers 👌

    What do you mean by grid synths?

  • @davidzohar9186

    Hello Dash , your tutorials are awesome, I have a question , I heard your saying about “delays crash inti each other” and I heard about this thing from other people. But I hear tracks that use delay on multiple channels at the same time. Example: czcams.com/video/Wspg5OKHUeYW/video.htmlithout any problem. So . My question is. Is it possible to put delay effect on a lead and at the background also delay on other roles like effects and voices and stuff? Is there a “best practice” for this subject?

    • @DashGlitch
      @DashGlitch  Před 4 lety +1

      Yea ofcourse, I do it a lot, but it helps to have similar time on them
