  • By the end of this video you are going to be learning the following:
1- What is an affine set?
2- Why an affine set is associated with a subspace?
    3- What is a subspace?
4- Solution set of linear equations is an affine set.
5- Every affine set can be expressed as the solution set of a system of linear equations.

Thank u for this video, my teacher's explanation left me confused but your choice of words and graphic representations helped a lot

10:13 seems that alpha+beta already equals 1, so 1-alpha-beta in the next slide should be zero? Would it easier to write alpha*(z1+x0)+beta*(z2+x0) in C, where alpha*x0+beta*x0=x0?

Thanks for the video! For folks looking at the next section of affine sets/affine hulls, which is in the Boyd Vandeberghe textbook, heres a helpful video: czcams.com/video/NC_A32FILZ4/video.html
