Jim Qweskin sparked my love of music with "Jug Band Music" back in high school. Forever in his debt.
I first heard John Hurt play this in 1966, about the same time I met Jim and the Jug Band. All of them are unforgettable, and Fiona does the song justice as Maria does. My goal is to be able to play this forever. I need practice!
Very beautifully done. A salute to Mississippi John Hurt. Love it.
This man and his jug band had a massive influence on my Purple Gang. Was proud to meet Geoff Mulduar several years ago at Joe Boyd`s book launch in London
.
MAGIC!
THIS sister is so reminiscent of Maria Muldauer that I am fascinated and mesmerized by her voice. We are all blessed.
she sounds like an angel
and she looks like one. What a beautiful woman.
thanks for sharing this classic song! love the sound of the harmonica.
Excellent - great singing and great pickin'! The band is great!
wonderful!
Sweet performance. Love it.
Great, as always!
This young lady can really sing. She is far better than the famous singers.
She is GOOD!
Hard to top Maria's version of this. But this version does hold its own.
Shades of the Jug Band!!!!!
Coincidence? Naw. Great good fortune.
Hello Maria M!
Never before noticed the line “My perky red bloomers, they got a rumble seat” LOL Now just what is that saying?
What's better tan that?
Maria Mulrdar
Nothing better than that...
