CMC only had 22 rushing attempts and that’s including going into OT!! TJ is 1000% correct…and I was seeing the same exact thing! Brock has no business throwing 38 attempts trying to beat Mahomes!!! All of them are correct even with the 3rd and 4 with 2 mins in REGULATION!! I was saying all the same thing!!! Smh. The 31 times was not all to CMC. TJ is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!!!

@@ConcernedNinerFanSteve wilks and the defense did their job. Punched out the ball from Pacheco with a recovery and intercepted Mahomes - not to mention the numerous 3 and outs they generated. They weren’t perfect but it’s Mahomes on the other side and he’ll eventually figure it out.

Everyone wants the passing game but to control the game and tempo of your team you need to RUN....THE....BALL! San Fran failed to do that early in the 2nd half and it cost them
When they did run in those early down in the second half, they were getting holding calls and was averaging about 2 yards per Carry. Wasn't enough to keep running.

Shanahan's play calling to start the first 3 possessions of the 3rd quarter was the worst play calling I've seen. Shanahan is a garbage play caller. He has no clock management skills.

As a Niner fan, I’m cool stopping the pain now. Unfortunately they’ve lost two perfect head coach candidates in Saleh and Ryans in the last two years. Wilks blows, too. I don’t want Belicheck as head coach, but I’d like to see the Niners try to bring him in as a mentor to Kyle or something. Shannahan has some great assets and offensive ideas. But he will never, ever win a Super Bowl.

The refs do that for fans and the show. Every team is given the rules in writing so that are aware when the rules are made or changed. So if there is an issue, it's on the team/coach.

I'm a Niners fan, what frustrates me the most is the running game. You have a power back in Jordan Mason and in the Superbowl you never use him. You have the ability to run all day if you split the responsibility. with CMC. Mason is way better than Mitchell which got maybe 2 touches in the game.

CMC was staggered at some point in the second quarter. They had to lighten his load to keep him in the game. HE actually asked out of at least one play in the fourth. Dude did his job. He carried 49ers in the first half and late in OT.

But he wasn't gashing them. He was averaging 3.6 a carry. And the last carries he had in the third and fourth he was averaging like 1.8. Wasn't enough to stick with him. Could have opened the screen game up for him though. To stop the chiefs deom just pinning their ears back and blitzing Brock. But the run game wasn't killing it like you say. 3.6 on their best runs. 1.8 on most of the runs.

He got 1 carry in the 3rd quarter, 5 in the 4th ! 49ers first 3 possessions in the 3rd were 9 straight passes for 3 and outs that let the Chiefs get back in the game! Even Romo was saying "RUN THE BALL!" In OT he was rolling and on 2nd and goal from the 7 they decided to pass twice (Knowing Spags loves to blitz) for incompletes, and forced to kick a FG. I do agree with you though, they should have used him more in the passing game!

The chiefs did give up some yards on the ground but cmf wasn't gsshing them. His longest was 11 yards. So thwt makes his average about 2.9 for the rest or a little less. The chiefs rushed for more yards than the niners did. 130 to 110. On just about the same amount of carries. The chiefs had 31 the niners had 30. Purdy was supposed ro be this great coming out qb. And he can't get it done for 1 quarter. One? He has like 17 yards in one quarter.

literally after the bills ravens and niners lost. Its the same thing "Why didnt the run the ball???" the chiefs defense stops the run. Not all the time but they do it efficiently where your coaches can't get any rhythm from it.
Allen was running on them and if you go look back at the tape there was PLENTY of video's that showed wide open openings for Lamar to run the ball but he just didn't. KC is good but it was all about the Ravens and Niners going away from what even brought them to the super bowl. You don't throw for 38 attempts when KC secondary is top tier. You can throw that much when you are play a 20 something ranking Lions defense who's secondary is trash but you can't against KC. You run the damn ball on them.
You definitely run with under two min left in the game and kc only has two timeouts. Make them use it then pin them down deep.

If the defense has to be perfect every snap for pretty boy Purdy to win don't expect to win much ... that's an impossible standard. 19 points in regulation should be very achievable for Purdy an MVP candidate surrounded by 7 all pros and another MVP candidate at RB.
And don't let Mahomes run the ball for a first down on 4th and 1 with the game on the line. Should have found a way to contain him.

Man I said the same thing. Why not make kc us a timeout and pin them inside the 20 to force them to make a long drive with little time on the clock and one timeout. Coach called a bad game and you could see the defense getting tired toward the end of the game.

I grew up in the Bay Area and wanted the 49ers to win, but I decided to bet on KC. I thought I lost all my money when it was 10-0. I also bet on 43 or more points. I thought I was going to lose that also until it went to overtime. I had the gut feeling that the 49ers would let their fans down.

The guy who let the punt hit him gave the game away, bottom line. That is the kind of mistake that is unacceptable. Such an egregious error will all but guarantee you to lose the game.
49ers special team was horrendous. They blew 2 gimme plays, & if they got just 1 of those right, that was the game.
TJ wasn't wrong but special team killed it and the ZERO calls were stupid. 2nd half Chase Young died, Greenlaw replacement was really terrible...keep Purdy under center let the fb & CMC block.
After it hit the guys leg, the stupid punt returner tried to scoop it instead of just falling on it and recovering it!

Look at it closely - he was on the move already, & the ball was directly at his feet. You need to ball to be in front of you in order to fall on it. It was an impossible situation for him.
They played soft as hell in OT giving up them big yardage plays to mahomes, kelce etc. I know everyone noticed that too.

@@columbia2635 Oh yeah they gave it to him. Because the 49ers were running the ball well during the first half but kinda went away from that the second half. Also when mahomes ran the ball for like 10+ yards, they gave this huge opening. I understand mahomes plays well under pressure in most games but he didn't do it in that super bowl vs the bucs. Even the lions ran the ball well against the 49ers which they should've won. I mean why start passing the ball when you're running effectively?

He missed some throws sure. Every QB does. Mahomes missed several in the game too. But youre just lying about the TD misses. He missed Deebo on one where he was getting pressured as he threw, but they scored a TD on that drive anyway so it didn't matter. Every other potential scoring opportunity he had free rushers in his face in under 2 seconds. There isnt a single QB who could successfully make those passes under that kind of pressure.

Shanahan's play calling lost this game, not the punt hitting the guy's foot, not a fumble, not Mahomes taking what he was given etc. All Shanahan had to do was keep running.

The last 3 games bills, ravens and 49ers only the chiefs made adjustments in the game. That’s an odd coincidence that all year around these teams are good at making adjustments to win games but somehow in the most important games of their season these teams and coaches lost the plot.

One positive in this game for San Fran was Brock playing great and trying to accomplish shanahans game plan. In my opinion, he highlighted that he’s capable but the head coach has been the issue when they lose. He been extremely accountable and now there’s no one shanahan can throw under the bus. The 49er defense underperformed in the playoffs, when you have this much talent eventually team preparedness reflects on the coach.
