Brother I’ve been plodding through these folding outfeed table builds for seemingly EVER trying to find one that used gas struts like I plan on doing. THANK YOU! The hinge solution is what I’ve been looking for!

Very good indeed. I’m moving into a new workshop soon and am going to change from a fixed outfeed table to a folding one. Of course, every table saw has different features and mine doesn’t have that rear angle iron. However, that’s no big deal. The real win is your use of gas struts. That I will steal.
Whenever we come back from NSW to UK, I bring back some timber. Last time, I bought a whole load from Boomerang in Mittagong and ended up paying a small fortune in extra suitcases to fit it all in.
My suggestion for a snack is some water biscuits with gentleman’s relish.

I tried above 200n and couldn't close the table, better to start with a light strut and just add more if needed. I tried 3 struts at one stage and it was just a bit heavy to close. hope this helps.
