This year I need to teach this, and your video helped me get a grasp on it more than all the formulas. Once I understood the recursion relation, I could reverse engineer the math to derive the standard formula for monthly payment. I don't think I'll make my high schoolers do that, but I might assign them the task of building this spreadsheet! Thank you for a great video!

Ebrahime, yes, school is designed to take your money, it's a business. I took a class, paid a lot of money. they promised I would know how to build a website when the class was done. I didn't. You know what they told me? "you have to take the advanced class", that means more money for them and a waist of my time. I hired a college student for 10 bucks an hr. I learned more in the first three hrs with her than I did in the class. Three weeks later, I had all the basics and an understanding to build. I am an autodidact for the most part but we have teachers even so, just not in a classroom.

The way I perceive investments, ROI, Cash and Cash Returns is entirely much different now than before when I would not know how interests are eating up my meagre resources.
