Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh, Ciaran Tourish, Frankie Kennedy, Ciaran Curran - Highlands/Reels

Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh (fiddle), Ciaran Tourish (fiddle), Frankie Kennedy (flute), Ciaran Curran (bouzouki) play two Highlands followed by two Reels. The Highlands are versions of the Strathspeys; Miss Drummond of Perth and Sherriff Muir, also known as Kafoozalum. The Reels are The Monaghan Twig and The High Road to Linton.
The Strathspeys and the second reel were common amongst fiddle players in East Down - Jackie Donnan played Sherriff Muir in the key of A as it was noted in Nathaniel Gow's Complete Repository Part 3 c.1810.
