7/21/2024 2 Sides of the Same Coin

The gospel is the power of God to save. Chapter 8 told us that God has been working in history to bring us to salvation based upon His plan and nothing we have done. Last week we learned that those who call on the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Using Israel as the example, Paul is going to show us that there are two sides to salvation, neither one of them diminish its value or the sovereignty of God. We may focus on the “heads” of our coins more - but the coin is complete when it has two sides. Today we see how that works in salvation without minimizing God’s grace and Christ’s sufficiency.
