MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.
Ethan and the team are suspected of treason when a mission goes wrong and Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) escapes two years after his capture. Joined by CIA agent August Walker, Ethan and his allies must put their hands on plutonium cores to save the world.

Simon Pegg was a great addition to the cast. He brought a comedic relief we didn't know we needed
One of the best parts of this movie is the background score. Elevates an already great movie to brilliant proportions. Also Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise are so good here.
It's done by lorne balfe, he is fantastic
The score to this scene really did it for me. Good balance of desperation, tension and adrenaline mixed into one.
For me this score is way too Zimmer-like. M:I films from 3 to 5 had much more unique old school scores. For me Lorne Balfe always goes for too serious, too electronic, too overproduced.

Dude ran for like 4 miles, jumped across roofs, multiple building, through a window, got up and down multiple stairs, and still had stamina to hold himself into the grate for good period of time dangling above certain death while talking to a bad guy. Ethan Hunt is straight up Hulk in human form.

Daniel Craig: i chased a man on foot over a construction site
Tom Cruise: That's cute
Sure, Tom does most of his stunts in the MI movies, especially the crazy ones. But our enjoyment of them comes from seeing him actually do crazy shit. Whereas in the construction site chase most likely did not have Daniel Craig do most of the crazy stunts whereas the dude he was chasing actually did the stunts, so overall that one is probably equally as good of a set piece, if not better.
Jackie Chan:
This, 0:46, was the moment Tom Cruise actually sprained his ankle and the studio had to halt production for months until he recovered just in time. And they kept it in the movie, absolute madlads.

Simon Pegg is the perfect comic relief of this franchise. His deliveries are natural and unforced.

2:10 to 2:22 is just magical. Ethan running along the top of Blackfriars station with the London skyline is one of the best Mission Impossible moments. I might be biased because I'm from England, but still.

It's because he was viewing it in 2D he didn't know he was on rooftops so maybe that's why he told him to go across the streets. That's a nice detail.

4:41 - It feels like Lorne Balfe is greatly exaggerating his music for a bit, to the point where it feels like it's laughing at Ethan for failing to catch Walker before he could get away. Like it's saying, "Haha, you done fucked up now, Ethan!" with a Nelson-style laugh from The Simpsons.
