Naomi gave Ashley the gift of orating, she so eloquently spoke on behalf of the family here. Naomi gave Wynona the gift of singing, she gave a beautiful performance at her mother’s memorial service. I think it’s wonderful that each sister recognizes the other’s strong points and steps back to let the other take the reins when the time is right. Two sisters supporting each other with love, strength and grace; you taught your daughters well Naomi and that’s all that matters in the end.

My mom committed suicide 5 years ago. She suffered from depression for most of her life. I completely understand the pain that comes with it. Mental health is the most important thing. The world really needs to start to recognize that it is real and many people suffer from it.

The loss of a family member to depression and suicide is a suffering so difficult because it feels like you should have been able to prevent it somehow.
My brother took his own life in the same manner, he was just 35. There isn’t a day I don’t wish I could have done something to stop him.
But it’s true that they were in such horrific pain they didn’t believe they could keep living.
It’s such a pain in our hearts then and now, 26 years later.
My love and prayers go out to this precious family 🙏

Naomi's suffering has ended, we are sad she is gone... I was thankful when my mother's suffering had ended when cancer took her. I knew she could finally be at peace.

I experienced severe anxiety when I was 20 years of age. I learned the manifestations of emotional release and learned it's a journey to daily conquer the restimulation or triggers reflective of my core issue resulting in constant anxiety. I learned to connect with the underlying feelings and repetitively discharge them dynamically with discipline. Verbalizing is significant but, but it is the beginning of the journey. It's learning to repetitively connect with and surrender the underlying feelings repetitively by learning and practicing the manifestations of emotional discharge that one conquers depression and anxiety. I learned and practice the disciplines daily to succeed at functioning effectively in life. I extend my sincere condolences to the Judd family. I can fully empathize with the past deep-seated pain of Naomi and now the grief of her family. Truly, sincerely, bless the soul of Naomi. Rest in Peace.

Oh God. My heart goes to all the family. Both my mother and I, and my own daughter struggle with bipolar disorder. It can be confusing at times to decipher between the disease and the true character of anyone with this disease. Sending all my love and prayers!

2:58 This really spoke to me. I’ve suffered with mental illness my whole, particularly depression and body dysmorphia. I had a really bad day the other day and called family to vent. They kept telling me “No one else looks at you this way. Only you do.” And it’s so true. The love and reassurance I got/get from loved ones, sometimes just isn’t enough to stop those thoughts from creeping into my head. RIP Naomi. Your music lives on, and your spirit is with your girls.
Suicide really is hard for the survivors I know my little brother did it he was only 21

Before this interview I read an article online as she describe the (mental) disease of her mother. She stated that it (depression) comes when you are alone, and it does, because you are alone with your thoughts, I believe. But what is concerning, is it is a deep, heavy burdened feeling that if you are not careful, can easily take an extreme toll on you. What was alarming to me was when she described her mother saying she sometimes couldn't get to that happy place, and I'm a little familiar with that cuz if you're somewhere and someone sees you smiling, they may think you're crazy, but that's okay, cuz YOU know you're not, instead they are happy thoughts, and I believe it actually helps you KEEP your sanity. You must know that you can't change all, and certainly can't please all. But it can consume you viciously, if you let it. What myself have come to terms with as I age, is that all things that happen good or bad, happy or sad, happen by design, and there's little to nothing you can do to alter what happens by design, and if you think you did, it was designed to be that way.
Poor Ashley. What a horrific thing to witness. She will never erase that from her mind. Poor Naomi, she was so ill that she would never want to hurt her girls.

Heartfelt condolences to your entire family. My partner of 20 yrs drank herself to dead after suffering childhood trauma and suffering from mental health problems all her life. She'd say to me that I should leave her as I deserved better. I saw it through to the end.

Admiration for both Ashley and Wynonna for their strength and courage not only during the heartbreak of losing your beautiful mother but for always. Naomi raised two amazing, talented and strong woman, woman who are a reflection of Naomi's gifted aptitude and strength. Know that each of you are adored and loved individually and as a family. The openness, raw honesty, humour and love you all shared with the world was and is appreciated and inspirational, don't let the gossip mongers and conspiracy theories take that away from you all. Regardless if records are sealed or not, spiteful people will always be around with their hurtful opinions and disregard to the impact on others. Mental illness is a disease and often individuals feel isolated pain regardless of the love and supports they receive. Naomi had incredibly courage to share her journey with mental illness, it takes a strong person to do that. Ashley, Wynonna and Larry I truely believe Naomi would want you all to live and love life. What I personally appreciated from Naomi was her wit, her humour and her ability to find the light in dark situations. She is a star that will forever shine. My prayers are with you all always.

Naomi, Winona, and Ashley…KY girls. Dianne Sawyer…KY girl. Johnny Depp…KY boy (relevant at this time b/c of court case) I’m also a KY girl and I’ve lived all over the USA. I want to ask people to stop making fun of Kentuckians for having accents. Assuming we are all stupid. Like these celebrities, hiding the accent is one of the first things we do when we leave. I get sick of peoples snarky remarks about southerners. There are enough issues that we grow up with on the daily. The way in which people speak or use words isn’t the sole indication of intelligence. I’ve known so many « hillbillies » that possess skills and knowledge that a city boy wouldn’t know the first thing about. Take time to really get to know a person before you judge them.
I am so very sad for everything. However - my Lord in Heaven - there is / was absolutely no reason to tell the details of Naomi's death !!!! Obviously she killed herself. Period. End of story !!!. Maybe things would have leaked. Maybe whatever !!!!!! More drama. Oh - I need Diane Sawyer interview. Because now everyone needs to know the details. No. No one needed to know a fucking thing !!! I am so very sorry - but my God stay out of the media and focus on healing your family !!!!

The family has and is going thur alot right how. They talked it over and made that decision to do how they taught was best. I don't think most people realize this , but the Franklin County Coroner has not declared this woman's death a suicide. This is odd considering Ashley is declaring that Naomi shot herself with a fireman and instantly died. If that story was true , then the police would have declared Naomi s death a suicide handed the body over to the Judds. But the police have neither declared this death a suicide nor handed the body over. The police obviously have their doubts around what really happened on April 30, 2022.
Miss Naomi's death appears to be a Great Mystery..I pray that this death is investigated to the fullest extent..

She broke her leg (almost lost the leg) last year. I believe she is taking some kind of medication for it which cause swelling.

You never actually know. Maybe she gained weight because she is now on mental health medications? I know because this happened to me. Before I was diagnosed with bipolar my natural weight was around 125 lbs., after my diagnosis (and after several visits to the ER because of being allergic to many of the different meds that were SUPPOSED to help me) my normal weight is now 165. I absolutely hate it! But I’d rather be alive, sane & fat, than insane and skinny! Who knows, sometimes these meds also make people swollen at first until their bodies get used to the meds. Please don’t be so judgmental at this time. She is mourning a deep, deep loss.
