There was a time when tiger hunting was in vogue. In 1876, the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), bagged 23 tigers in one day. India and Nepal were 'good hunting grounds' for the British monarchy.

No. Man when misled on the wicked dystopia of Abrahamic philosphy where man and a particular kind of man who believes in a particular variant of god, is the chosen of that god and everything else including woman and other types of men with other gods is a resource for his existence and fulfillment then he wants to masquerade as apex predator. the idea of apex is a very limited idea he fails to see that when viewing all else with the binary vision of Abrahamic philosophy enforced by denial. There is no apex in the whole sense. We are all a part of the large system some of this kind some of some other. When that sinks in this stupid arrogance of being apex and the dumb idea of trying to prove and live it will end.

Are you a moron, go to Gir forest and see for yourself all the efforts made to protect the Lion population of India, the Lions of India also fact different kind of problem than that of Tiger, because Lions primarily thrive in open grass fields instead of dense forest, and because of the over population of India most of the grass fields turned to farmlands and such, it's hard to expand the Lions range compared to Tigers.
