Had a ski crash few years back. Broken spine. They told me I would be lucky to walk with crutches. I was devastated, you know mountain man. Watched this video over and over. Worked my ass off to get my semi-paralyzed leg working and be able to ski again. Year after, it didn't work. Watched this video some more. Kept on going. I am skiing again now. So thank you

Kurt's injuries from this accident were beyond horrific. We only see here how his left leg had to be amputated at the knee, but the other injuries he suffered actually went FAR beyond that. His right anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament were torn, both his pelvis and his bladder were literally torn in half, seven of his vertebra were broken along with multiple ribs, both of his lungs collapsed, and he suffered a severe concussion. Remarkably, one year later, Kurt made a full recovery. No matter how bleak a situation might be, never EVER lose hope, miracles can and do happen every day. Kurt is proof of that.

i first heard this song when i was 12 and at gymnastics practice it was only 3 weeks before i lost my leg due to a post op infection, i was shown the video a few days after my leg was amputated and i just felt like maybe gymnastics wasn’t over for me, it took a lot of hard work but i would watch this video nearly everyday to motivate me to keep going, i’m 17 now and have been doing competitive gymnastics for 3 years since my amputation and tbh i don’t know if would have been at this point without watching this video

Everyone in our group is trying to figure out his path in life. Enjoy every moment with your buddies. You really don't know when would be the last time you guys see each other as a group. I miss like hell those good ol days. Money wouldn't be a problem but time is now. The freedom that comes with a bike and steep downhill, an open road or trail or a skater park is surreal. I'm 50 next week, broke more bones than I can remember since riding a mogoose supergoose in the 80s then Hoffman bikes in the 90s to a £100 mogoose brawler now (just for beer runs) keep riding crew BMX RULES.

They're treating you as a tool basically. It's disguisting, but it can be identified, because if they do use you only as a source of some value, they won't give you any value back. At least not intentionally - why would they waste their resources creating a value for a tool they're using to gain value. That would be counterproductive.
It's terrible, especially when the human being used is emotionally attached to the human that uses him. I hate injustice and it almost makes me cry. But that's life, and it will always be like this. That's why we must be able to identify those and many more similar situations as quick as possible, and terminate them. We must be able to fucking fight. If you're not, then you'll have it fucking hard.

So often men are accused of being cold and not sharing their feelings, but you see plenty of emotion here... the frustration and anger, but the joy and excitement as well... and not just in Kurt, but in his friends and family surrounding him, taking joy in his successes with him... it's just not expressed the same way women express it. that doesn't make it wrong. Men support each other by being there when they are needed, by motivating and inspiring each other to overcome the problems, not by sitting there and wallowing in the problem and emotions until someone else comes along to solve it.

The video always blew my mind, a guy who lived for BMX tricks, disabled by a horrible accident and able to get back to doing what he loves and lives for. The drum and bass music adds to the fact that such a hard feat became possible with maximum effort and a bit more, and he had such a long way to go.
