One thing that boosted my shooting was keeping my guide hand elbow the same height as my shooting hand. Arms make a 90degree angle, triceps parallel to the floor and shooting with my legs more than my upper body.

The problem aiming for backrim is when you’re on the floor you get the illusion that the front rim is higher and backrim is lower. It could affect arc by aiming at the back. Aiming for the hooks on the front rim has worked best for me. But I’ve heard all kind of ways to aim it’s really a personal preference. Some players just look at the hoop as a whole. Some say they don’t even think just shoot. It really comes down to what works for you.
aiming for the back of the rim is 100% great for fadeaways, will almost never airball if you aim for the back of the rim, but on a normal shot i find it to be less effective.

I recently just picked up the ball again. Really stopped playing for about 11 years. Back then I didnt have any one or anything to teach me how to shoot. When I picked up the ball again I was frustrated that I could only make 1 out of every 25 shots I did. Started watching ur vids on how to properly shoot n now this vid, really helped out a whole lot. I see a big change in my shot form n consistency. Now I make 10/25 shots I shoot. Thats crap but still a major progress. Lol.

I've always been a pretty good shooter, but once I started aiming for the middle of the rim? My efficiency jumped pretty significantly. Every shot,aim for the middle of the rim. But don t forget about following through and your release

I actually have a hack that works for me, when You shoot put your elbow on the eyes' level so you make a high arc shot that has a bit better chance to go in

SUPER ROOKIE similar and same are not the same words. Similar by it's definition means there IS a difference even though there are things in common. There's a reason "similar but different" is a very common phrase. It's because it makes sense in a lot of situations. Like this one.
Honestly, I really don’t think that where he is telling his players to aim is right. If you aim for the hooks in the front of the basket, it’ll hit the front of the basket and be short. If you aim for the hooks in the back of the basket it’ll hit there and be long. What I do is just to imagine a small target in the middle of the basket and aim there.
What about aiming between the the front and back hook?

One time at gym, my friend was talking about random things, he was holding the basketball, I grabbed the ball, threw it without thinking of anything, no aiming, when I threw it, I made the shot, we were about 30 feet away from the hoop.
