- By now, you know we’re about to be visited by billions of cicadas, including downstate Illinois where, for the first time in more than 200 years, two types of cicadas are emerging at the same time.
Fun fact: the sound they make is the sound I “hear” 24/7 with my tinnitus. Wouldn’t mind it going to ground for 13 years! Or minutes even. Cicadas are cool.
Wow that is so cool , the last time these two different types of cicada was over 200 yrs ago and it's happening in our life time . I feel sorry for the ears of the people who have to listen to the noise the males make, only its exciting for those that study cicada to see how they interact etc . Who knows what could be learned by studying them because this wont happen again in your life times

My dog and puppies feasted on them , mom gagged but the puppies looked very nauseous for while then threw up green , and learned nothing bc they began eating them the next day and every day since without sickness

PESTILENCE, harmful insects eat all crops & damage vegetation. A heads-up WARNING! Air Force or agriculture dept. can help; to destroy those cicadas by spraying/fogging. PESTILENCE before famine, then followed by human starvation!

Hey, buddy. No. They don't even eat crops. Are you insane? They do NOT need killing. They eat small parts of the roots of extremely large trees. You need destroying by spraying and fogging.
