    These fires seem to only burn historic places. 🤔

    I'm disappointed on the updates there have been I have gone up and down many times from bakersfield to help with little to no updates! This is ridiculous

    • @linuxphone9063
      @linuxphone9063 Před měsícem +4

      There should be more video footage. We can't even see what the firefighters are doing and what's going on.

    • @alexscales3807
      @alexscales3807 Před měsícem +1

      @linuxphone9063 yes! Plus more common updates on maps. They have command centers and lots of fire fighters on standby plenty of aircraft. We have the technology to give fast accurate updates and nothing no real news current news I just saw a new story they used old clips on really? This is typical news I just am amazed how it's even at our local level now.

      I agree they could do a better job, like the updates on KCRA , channel 3, from Sacramento on the Park Fire. I'm following both fires. Bill formally from Bakersfield

      @janetlewis7145 I'm getting better updates from friends and family that live there and have boots on the ground. It's sad! That's what these ppl are paid for and to do. Not even updates when it shifted last night heading towards bodfish coming over hooper hill. They will say we are busy fighting fires but I was up there in the thick of it and it's just a disgrace how they are reporting on this fire and how it's progressed pull some equip. Off the fires where there is nothing but mountains save the houses ppl and towns. Just madness!

      I agree with you. I'm in Butte county, about 5 miles from where the fire started, took me forever to figure out what zone I was in, and then trying to find updates was ridiculous!

    Updates are not very good and we dont know when we can if at all go back to our homes. Im leaving this area when its all over regardless of how much we lose.

    So when exactly are states going to try and prevent these fires? I only ask since they seam to happen each and every year. It’s not like you don’t know about wild fires and the dangers of overgrown forests. Why has no one thought to bulldoze a half mile swath every 100 acres or so?

    • @jdocean1
      @jdocean1 Před měsícem +2

      You think we can rake the forest? I don’t think you understand how vast these areas are. You can’t predict when and where these fires will start. Edit: if we did your bulldozing idea we might finish the state of California in a 100,000 years and that’s just a wild guess. Wildfires are part of life out west.

    • @freeheeler09
      @freeheeler09 Před měsícem

      James, important question! If we stop burning fossil fuels, the temperatures will stop rising and the fires will slow. If we don’t stop burning fossil fuels, the fires will get worse.

      @@jdocean1 The national news just interviewed a man who has had his house burned down for the 3rd time. Your own state has maps showing where you have had multiple fires in the same damn place. It cost your state as much as 250 million each year. So yes, you can predict where you are most likely to have fires, mud slides and even earthquakes. You have had 100 years of data and your state government ignored it.
      Just like my state ignores hurricanes in the gulf that wipe out Houston and Galveston from time to time. I’m just saying that natural disasters can be predicted and somewhat prevented or lessened
      Those that ignore history are doomed to repeat it

    I dont understand why CA. is so strict with the enviromentals laws if they are just gona let it all burn to the ground.

      I'm from NorCal, they don't "let" it burn, wildfires tend to be really difficult and problematic to put out as evidenced by wildfires past and present. Thanks to PG&E, dry lightning, and arsonists. ...or a certain kind of space lasers if you're 🦇💩🤡 lol.

      I live in Wofford Heights, and you can access it from the west side of the 155 (glennville side) and the north east side of the 178 (ridgecrest side). So far it is safe here. It looks like the fire is moving south East away from Wofford, so….

      I think the communist want the land so they can move everyone into Stack-N-Paks, keep the people in a heard, easier to control. Meanwhile they get to keep your land and all of the mineral rights.
