Gege will eventually add some drastic measures to separate these two in a face to face fight. Right now, Yuji is in no condition to go toe to toe with Sukuna, also if this fight ends now, like defeating Sukuna in whatever manner possible, that would literally end the anime here, i am hoping that Gojo will make a comeback, giving Yuji an upper hand, and Sukuna will escape with Megumi's body, Maki will be there in the fight.. that would be interesting. Unlike demon Slayer where most (many) of the Hashiras were alive and fighting... Here most of the Grade 1 Sorcerers are dead or incapable of fighting. The Special Grade Sorcerers like Yuki (alive), Yuta (alive), Geto (dead as my grandmother), Gojo (dead as for now) stand a 50-50 chance to defeat Sukuna, but at what cost!!
So Gege will probably bring Gojo back, we will have a 5v1 in a special sounen jump edition, then the story will veer off to another Arc.
Edit: If you follow any manga, then you know, that if a manga is way ahead of the anime, like 2-3 arka, then the Writer has way more freedom to experiment, rn i would say, Jujutsu Kisen is like only 1 arc behind the manga... Please pray for Sukuna 😂
