  • Cuban coffee, crunchy pastries and crispy croquetas fuel Miamians at these ubiquitous hole-in-the-wall coffee joints. Experience a collision of traditions and tastes in Season 2 of Culture Trip’s award-winning series Hungerlust, as chefs serve up stuffed mussels in Istanbul, Cuban coffee in Miami, all-American burgers in Reykjavik, sushi in Puglia, insect tapas in Berlin, patisserie in Bangkok and LA flavours in Las Vegas.
Proud locals open their kitchens and communities, revealing incredibly diverse, culturally important and community-driven dishes, all against the backdrop of some of the world’s most vibrant and culinarily rich cities. Season 2 explores how food can embody a collision between cultures, mindsets and ideas. We look at dishes in which East meets West, foods influenced by migration, future trends and the power of travel. Join us to meet the unique personalities of the chefs bringing their ideas to life through plates of food.

When I first went to miami, no one told me that the 6 oz cup of cafe cubano was supposed to be shared in those little cups. I drank the entire thing. I'm VERY immune to the effects of coffee but OH MY LORD i was wired for HOURS. lmaooooo. Good times.

You don't have to share your cafe cubano if you are drinking it yourself. I do that all the time as my wife who is Cuban and my daughter don't like it. So, no one to share with and thats okay with me.

Cubans dominate and are everywhere in Miami and Florida buddy. The Cuban community alone is 70 percent of the Hispanic population in Florida. These other latin communities are very small compared to the cuban community in Miami And Florida and thats how it has and always will be because Cuba is 90 miles from Florida.

Miami is the only America city nicknamed the "capital of Latin America" and the only way to succeed is to know Spanish.
