Hey bro ! what type of questions does they ask ?
That confidence is on point I want to up mine
I did my interview today in South Africa for the first time and it was successful. Thank you for the information. It was very helpful and I finished the interview in less than 3 minutes
Congrats bro
Great to hear that.
Did you show 3x amount which was in you i20. I mean how much Amount to show. Pls reply bro
@@madrauchia1913 no, though I have all the documents regarding my Financials with me
@@eugeneebubechukwu8797 regarding amount on i20. So it is not that tough. By The way Congrats and work Hard in land of opportunities.
In a real interview, they will never ask you directly if you plan to return to your home country after you complete the education. Because the obvious answer would be the interviewee would say is yes. You have to imply or hint your purposes through your responses if they ask what do you want to do in the future?
And the way the interviewer said it. "So, you say ultimately, does that mean you really want to stay in the United States?" No, that's not what "ultimately" means at all. The student just said they want to go back to China. This kind of curveball question is bizarre, and sadly accurate based on what I've heard from many foreigners who have tried to visit the US. I'm so lucky I'm a US citizen and I don't have to deal with this process before studying at SJSU. I would probably break down at that question.
@@joshuaharrell554 please what does that even mean I'm so afraid that I couldn't pass the interview 😭
@@alyeanatasha4842 Stay strong. The best you can do is answer all the questions honestly, and then whatever happens happens. You might get odd curveball questions like this, but it's always ok to take a moment and ask the officer what the question means. To be honest, I'm a native speaker and I'm not even sure what that question means!
I’m form an international student from Congo and did my interview 4 years ago, trust me they really ask that question in real life. They did asked me that
@@joshuaharrell554 I see the flag, I’m Congolese too, going to SJSU
When the visa officer says congratulations you are visa is approved. It's enough for every student who are going to satudy in abrod
Cuz boy if you are, they’re gonna get a hell of an english speaker

Tmr i have an interview. Wish me luckkkk
I have just attempted for a Visa interview in Poland and I got rejected. It was very tought and I was very nervous to speak and explain myself. Questions were:
1. WHO IS GONNA PAY FOR THIS? (Yes, exactly as it would sound like if capslock could express human feelings. He also pointed at the paper I-20 with his finger). I said my parents and that they are reliable people to support me and I explained why, but all of a sudden he stopped me when I was about to say their income. Second question was asked as follows.
2. What do your parents do?
I explained as I have written before. And I didn't have a chance to explain it fully.
3. How long have you been here (in Poland)?
The problem is that I am not a resident of Poland and I have finished my Engineering Bachelor's degree here and the reason I am applying for Language Courses in the US is that I want to continue Master's degree in the same major. But, I had no chance to explain it, because again I was nervous about all this and I was waiting for the exact question to answer it properly so that I don't get refused immedeately.
4. When did you finish your bachelor's degree?
Beginning of this year (recently). I was again waiting for proper question so that I could explain my willings, but no. I was rejected from visa.
I think current situation in Poland is tedious for Visa Officers because of the moving of the US Embassy from Russia to Poland. So now all the Russian citizens are applying via Poland. And that particularly hit me. But, I think the main problem was in me and I thought that Visa officers are interested in asking questions, but no. They are only interested in rejecting visa, unless you have proven that your interests are reasonable and meaningfull. I don't think that this was fair for me for all of my hard work that I have done, but I will try to take another chance asap. Although, I am waiting for another refusal I will collect all my power and all my confidence to prove them that my willings are the same as it is written on the paper
It can happen to anyone, to not be able to answer or present yourself the way you wanted. Hopefully next time you go in to answer their questions boldly than expecting them to ask you the questions you want. more power to you! good luck!!!
Having confidence is a must in regards of answering any questions. However, you need to interconnect with each question from the beginning to the end that always means logical & sound to the interviewer. That way, it would be helpful to obtain a visa successfully.
Best wishes!
That's great video..... 👍

i have a question.
when the officer asks you “do you plan on coming back to your home country after you graduate” and i tell them honestly that i plan on getting an internship in software engineering after graduating, will that affect my approval of the US visa?

Easy for Chinese to get an F1 Visa. It's a high income country and more developed than USA as far as some regions (like Deep South is like a Stone Age region compared to Shenzhen or even places like Kunming of Sichuan/Tibet).
The IQ of the Chinese (106-110) is also something that Africans and South Asians will take decades to arrive at. And most of these are high goal setters.
Compared to Indians, Pakistanis, Iranians, etc, Chinese have the best chance.

It shouldn't be. As long as you have gotten into the university and have the required documentation from the University you should be fine.

Chances are they won't ask you this unless you have previously worked in the US.
Will they ask about ielts gre score???
Not typically, as a program may not require a GRE score. Feel free to email international-office@sjsu.edu if you have additional questions.
