Every time I hear this beautiful, beautiful hymn, it brings tears streaming down my face as I am overcome by emotion for what God is doing in my life, while I now battle Stage IV breast cancer, which was diagnosed only a few months ago with a prognosis not very encouraging. We do not know the day or the hour, but God's knows as He prepares my new heavenly home with Him when that day comes. He promised to never leave me or forsake me, and He never has. I trust in Him completely knowing it is well with my soul as God brings me under His wings to protect and He will never let go of me. This beautiful arrangement will most certainly be part of my Celebration of Life service as I begin choosing other hymns like these that will glory and praise His Holy name, so others may hear, see, believe and want to receive His salvation in their lives. For it truly is no secret what God can do! Thank Greg for your beautiful ministry, which is touching the lives of so many to reach out to HIM and live their lives for Jesus, the sweetest name I know.

Bonita Stevenson Like you I, listened to this piece of music and found it amazing. I understand that your diagnosis is stressful; however, try to keep a positive frame of mind. More than 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and I was given a very grim prognosis. 20 years later, I am contemplating running a half marathon. Continue to believe in yourself, get the proper medical treatment, and maintain a positive mental focus. Good luck with this life change.

God in Christ has given us all Power and Authority over the enemy; you do have power to speak to that cancer and command it to go in the Name of Jesus Christ. "But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed. Proclaim your healing in the Name of the Most High God in Christ and begin Praising Him and thanking Him for your divine health. "I walk in divine health; I receive it and accept it as the Will of God for my life in Jesus Holy Name, Amen" The Lord has given you the power to take authority and to cast that mountain (stage IV breast cancer) into the sea. Praise Him until you see the manifestation of your healing. Be it unto you according to your faith. As Jacob wrestled with the angel, so shall we all. The blessing is yours. God has a deeper purpose and plan for you. As your name is written in my prayer book, let us, too, rejoice and Praise His Holy Name and thank Him for your healing. Be encouraged and continued peace. Though we must have faith in God always, I think it is also important to remember that we should always pray for God's will because He knows what's best for us (He can see what we are not able to see in our lives/circumstances) and He loves each one of us wanting no one to perish. Blessings to you.
Wow!! Tears flowing. What a beautiful song. I have been struggling the last week in my faith and I stumbled across this, not by accident, but by God's intervention. In the last week I have had feeling of hopelessness, helplessness and loneliness. I know that I am never alone with God and listening to absolutely beautiful music like this restores my faith. I just listened to this beautiful rendition this morning during my "purple chair time." And I too wept with the inner knowledge that truly - it IS well with my soul. Even though we all go through difficult times.... cancer, divorce, fear, worry.... And yet - in the midst- when the sea billows roll - we can confidently say "It IS well with my soul!" Thank you for ushering us into the throne room of our Abba Father!

After the earthquake in 1989, I was able to play my trumpet with piano accompaniment by Miss Debbie Bellue at a church in Watsonville,CA which was ten miles from the epicenter. It is a wonderfully inspirational song...It is Well with my Soul...indeed!

this song brings back the most saddest memories yet. it brings back memoroes of my favoritest friend passing away december 6 2012. they did this song at the funeral and I cried the whole entire time. the most painful time I'll ever remember

IT IS WELL...2 Kings 4:26-I went through a horrible and violent time of my life in my 20-30s...I was praying already by HIS grace...but went on some SUPERNATURAL fasts. God told me what to do and showed me this VERSE and I was to say "It is well...." God did it! I saw HIS glory and power, limitless grace. HE said "pray without ceasing; speak only faith [not the crazy stuff though] and once a day tell Him all I was experiencing as though He was my doctor, although I knew He already new... HE DID IT!
Very inspiring music that made me think in my communion and my life with God.
So moving! The visual arts and Greg’ s talent leave me in tears!
This is only the song it can dry up my tears.....once i was going through hard time and trials, there was nobody to look around, i could encourage my self that "It is well with my soul"....It is such an awesome song,Blessed be the name of the Lord.
