Question, since the whole soleplate is zoom air do we lose the anatomical shape inside the boot? Vapor 11’s & 13’s were probably peak Mercurials for me. Hopefully the next gen of Mercs is something special

Mario, basically he answers this question indirectly when he says the heel lockdown isn't as good and the foot shape is more of a sneaker versus football boot last. And finally he says he prefers the fit of the regular mercurial vapor 13 or Superfly 8

Like I said,I Do see some of the tech on these boots like zoom air carrying on the next generation of the mercurial vapors and superfly. Tho I’m not sure the upper will be on the next Gen Mercurials,think we might have another variation of Vaporposite uppers again

yeah, this is some next generation tech coming over from nike running I think. I imagine one of the goals for this style would be 90 minute preservation. Like how the new marathon shoes are all decent for 10, 13, 15 miles, but ultimately they shine at the full marathon distance as they preserve the runner's muscles making it easier to have good form and efficiency later in the race. I think this is nike saying we are going to make (maybe not this version) the ultimate boot for the 90 minute player.
putting this in combination with carbon fiber would probably make for an amazing boot!

This boot is def more tight around the midfoot.
Alot more restrictive than the later mercurials, that has a more sock like fit.
Maybe it needs breaking in, but out of the box not as comfy as the later mercs.
Im not sure if it will ever fit me.

Possibly there might be one but I do think many of the tech here will be carried on the next generations of mercurials
It's a concept like the Flyknit Ultra, to showcase what will be on future models of the Mercurial. So the Mercurial wont go anywehere. As to colors, there could be future colors, again like the Flyknit Ultra
How would you say the comfort of the boots are? Besides for the thin upper does the Nike zoom air technology make them more comfortable and like cloud like than other boots? Or does it not really do anything different because air zoom technology on sneakers are probably the best running shows out there besides ultra boost.
A Nike Air Zoom unit is for explosiveness.
For it to help with comfort the shoe would need to have an Nike Air Zoom Stroble unit in the shoe it can have both but this is more used in basketball shoes. (I play both sports just so you know I know what I am talking about)
So Air Zoom helps with explosiveness, cushoning a little bit but a lot with impact absorption and when you jump it will store the energy like a spring and repell you that's why they use it like crazy in basketball shoes.
What they do in basketball shoes is add cushlon and this stuff is like really really nice for the comfort but cushlon bottoms out very fast and is in my opinion only really great in combination with Air Zoom and in basketball shoes I don't really see the use for it in soccer boots still could be nice if you are maybe a goalie or change directions really fast like a wing player or if you do a lot of headers for that Air Zoom would help you a bit.

Well, for me the most important thing on a pair of football boots is comfort. For me if you feel uncomfortable in your shoes, then your performance will drop and you just don't get satisfaction from the game.

Zoom air should stay with basketball. Make you more explosive with squishy air bag? No haha. Nike basketball and tennis should use football boot tech though like Kobe V. Thin, light, strong perfect fit.
