I spent a night in jail in LA for being drunk as hell on my bicycle and for some insane reason this theme kept going through my head in the cell when I was trying to sleep. No idea why to this day!
I love New Line Cinema so much. They really did make good action to horror and comedy movies such as Rush Hour ,Rush Hour 2, Rush Hour 3, Friday, Next Friday, Friday After Next, Money Talks, The Players Club, A Thin Line Between Love And Hate, Bones, All About The Benjamins, Menace II Society, Above The Rim, Set It Off, A Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise, Talkin Dirty After Dark, Freddy vs Jason, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, A Man Apart, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, House Party, House Party 2, House Party 3, Blade Trilogy, Austin Powers Trilogy Final Destination Trilogy, Elf, Love Jones, Seven, The Mangler, and more.
This was in my dream last night. I was at some restaurant with my family and there was a tv on this wall. This played and I asked the waitress what movie this was and she said it was called "The weight gate". I ended up waking up so I never did see the movie, but it was cool to see this in my dream exactly as it is right here. Also I looked it up and there's no movie called "The Weight gate".
Brought me back to when I was sitting in front of the TV in my childhood home watching VHS movies with my now deceased brother. I'm thoroughly shook right now.
Many great addaption came out from this company Lord of the Rings, Mortal Kombat, TMNT, The Mask and so on I think Marvel and DC should consider working with these guys
New Line Cinema is perhaps one of the only Major Mainstream film studios who have stuck to the roots in that they cater to small audiences aswell as major ones. One of the easiest hollywood companies to get a pitch with.
This logo always makes me think of LOTR, Rush hour, TMNT, Mortal Kombat, Blade, Final destination, The Mask, Nightmare on elm street, Friday, Se7en, and more
I've been pondering where did I hear this music. Now I know. Sometimes you hear a nice music and all of a sudden it surfaces again in your mind without remembering where and when did you hear it.
Michael Kamen didn't make this solely for New Line to use as a jingle, it's from a movie he composed for, Highlander. It's a great movie starring Sean Connery, and since Michael Kamen composed for it you can bet the music is outstanding. Check it out, yo.
Rush Hour ,Rush Hour 2, Rush Hour 3, Friday, Next Friday, Friday After Next, Money Talks, The Players Club, A Thin Line Between Love And Hate, Bones, All About The Benjamins, Menace II Society, Above The Rim, Set It Off, A Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise, Talkin Dirty After Dark, Freddy vs Jason, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, A Man Apart, The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, House Party, House Party 2, House Party 3, Blade Trilogy, Austin Powers Trilogy Final Destination Trilogy, Elf, Love Jones, Seven, The Mangler, Jason Goes To Hell The Final Friday, Jason X, Willard, Man's Best Friend.
Have you ever was just... chilling, doing your own thing and minding your own business, then you here a fanfare you recognized long ago from a far distance, and you immediately stop what you were doing and commit *_sonic speed_* towards where the fanfare was coming from, and while you're doing that you're brain's like: "That must be the logo I know it!!". And when you arrive it's the logo you thought it would be? That was me, very specific ain't it?
I don't know if new line cinema be interested and associated in partnering up with an animation studio like Disney or with my fictitious, indie, animated studio franchise so that they can partner up with me to make an animated movie like Balan Wonderland that's from it's failed game title
New Line Cinema was independent up until the early 1990's when Ted Turner's company bought it. The Nightmare on Elm Street series brought them legitimacy. The Time Warner ownership was what made them major. Until Warner Bros was allowed to absorb New Line Cinema, that is.
I'm pretty sure it's adapted from the cue 'Heather/Enter Ramirez' from the original 'Highlander' (1986). You hear it when we first see MacLeod and Heather together, as she descends from the croft when he's doing his blacksmith stuff.
Childhood came rushing back when I heard this
Good to see i’m not the only one
Same
We all felt that 😭
Same here there is something truly magical about this intro ☺️
Me too. Especially at 0:08 and onward.
Elf, Lord of the Rings, Austin Powers, Hairspray......oh the nostalgia 😭
Don't forget TMNT
And Rush Hour
Also don’t forget The Mask
Nightmare on Elm Street hehehe
And also don't forget Friday feat. Ice cube
For better or for worse, New Line Cinema always, ALWAYS reminds me of Elf.

As a teen: COOL THE MASK!
As an adult: COOL FREDDY KRUEGER!!!
Don't forget FRIDAY
@@mastermind2032 That's Paramount.
The New Line Jason movies sucked. The only one that was good he had to share with Freddy

I miss the old New Line logo. The new one is nice, but I kinda prefer this one.
Same here.
0:08-0:12 so am I. But, the new line cinema itself is no longer an independent company, since 2011.
I miss the old new line cinema logo too.
You should see the 2021 version...they returned it back to this one in a way.

This is my favourite intro. It brings back memories of settling in to watch a movie as a kid.
It reminds me of that too
Lord of The Rings. Seeing this intro as a kid I knew I was in for a good experience! The Lord of The Rings are still my favourite movies of all time!
Never seen them myself. I think I will carry on and never watch them. Dunno why but Star Wars was enough to get cought up in
And we can all agree that the sequels are the longest theatrical movie ever

My very first two New Line Cinema movies as a kid was Mortal Kombat (1995) and Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997)
When I was a kid, I use to think those were ladders and the square was supposed to be a house. And I always cried when the other 3 “ladders” went.
Best theme to any company ever made.
This is an adaptation of Michael Kamen's track "Heather/Enter Ramirez" from the score to Highlander (1986).
