If the prophecy would be true, then it should be decreasing since that period of time.. and it will increase more because the moon is moving away from earth by 2.8 cm each year ( data might not be exact)...

Wrong, the Earth's speed of rotation is slowing down instead of speeding up. The melting of ice means that the mass of ice (which were at the centre ie. the poles) is moving outwards (towards the equator in form of meltwater), so the rotation rate is actually increasing due to the relationship of inertia and rotational kinetic energy.
