- Today I am sharing a step by step on how we did a DIY BOARD AND BATTEN in our girls' room for under $130 from start to finish.

Supplies:
pine board or lattice board 1/4 inch
square dowels 1/2 inch
liquid nails
nail gun & nails
paintable caulk
nail filler
level or laser level
miter saw
paint
paint brushes
1. Get measurements of your room
2. Pick out boards
3. Laser level the horizontal line for pine board and start putting up.
4. Measure the vertical boards and find angle to cut bottom. Put up vertical boards
5. Put up the square dowels
6. Caulk the seems. Less is More.
7. Push nails in all the way and fill holes.
8. Pick paint and start painting!
