I will say, it’s pretty damn amazing how one guy in a gheenoe with standard equipment can make a 1/2 hr video that blows away anything on tv. No camera crew, extra boats, or any of it. Well done my dude.

I have thousands of hours watching fish vid and been watching yours for some time now. This is maybe my second comment ever. But I just have to give you huge props. Not only is this an epic video but the class and respect you have for the sport is second to none. Love how you not only blow the doors off every yt wannebe on a consistent basis but you prove it can be done with zero exploitation of the animal. You keep it real by not editing out mistakes and show the true work ot takes to do what you do. Keep grinding and keep showing the next generation how it should be done. The sport needs more fishers like you. Mad respect.
Right now that tarpon is telling his buddies “you should have seen the Gheenoe I caught this morning, it had to be at least 12 foot”

Love these videos man! I know I’ve said it before but I bought my highsider bc of you and it has brought my wife and I a LOT of great memories! This past weekend we did a 26 mile trip on it with our Australian shepherd and it was so much fun!

I saw my condo in your video and the day after that I went down to go fishing at the beach and I and I hooked into two 180 lb tarpon. It was a blast watching this video and fishing thanks so much for uploading this video!!!
went fishing out of La Paz, Baja Sur. We kept the bait alive by stopping and bailing out some water and putting more back in every 5-10 min. or so. did not even have a bait bucked, used the front compartment of the Panga with the drain plugged.
These Gheenoe days off the beach have me sweatin but I can see they are paying off.. so happy you are getting to live your dream and can call this a nice day at work 💗

Love your videos Justin! I use the same bait system you do on my aluminum boat. If you add some ice to the water your baits will last twice as long (without having to change the water) and they will be friskier.
I can’t believe you had that huge pod of bait and all those Tarpon to yourself. I kept waiting to see a bunch of pull up and screw it up for you. Epic day Justin, loved the video.
You are the #1 inshore CZcamsr now. Great fishing action and doing it from a Gheenoe Highsider makes even a greater trophy for all of us to watch. I have great confidence that my Gheenoe LT25 can do more than I gave it credit for. WAO! And BTW, all of that was done at the beach, which technically is entry level near-shore fishing. Right?

The surgeons loop knot is the strongest loop knot, it will not slip, i think its 2x as strong as a regular loop knot

You should NEVER have a knot slip (come undone). Try the Palomar if it was leader to hook! I use uni leader to braid (5 wraps), and improved clinch braid to leader (10 wraps).
