I don't know how the N4 is wired but I decided that I wanted the side closest to the neck and the side closest to the bridge to get mixed. It didn't seem very productive to use the inner 2 coils because they are both quit near the center. Using the pickup switch i can select basically a single P90 in either extreme direction now.

i wish I could play the riff at 2:56 as good as you!, because it's nuno's top and one of the best guitar riffs in rock history. I remember looping it over and over again when I bought its cassette upon its release. watching you makes me jealous. thanks from Turkey!

@@hornypayter4694 The pickup is not out of phase. I think the "hollow" & dirty sound is built by a Fender Amp at max volume and low drive, boosted by a rat-pedal (less drive, but maximum gain). It´s a mystery what gear exactly was used for the recording. Some people say the tube of the amp was nearly end of its life...?!
The "knob pull" was perfect! Love it dude!
Between 1995 and now, I assumed that was the pickup selector switch (I didn’t know the N4 pickups were splittable)
