Hands down, the most underrated band of all time
I saw Scott preform last night. It was awesome!
In an alternate universe, the Clarks are filling stadiums and Bruce Springsteen is playing clubs and building motorcycles. As for underrated bands, check out the Saw Doctors - even better, and barely known.

The last time I heard them live was over 20 years ago at Mahoney's in Uniontown. They still sound great, and their music still resonates today.
i really dont see why they arent more popular than they already are. I love their music, and when i saw them everything was absolutely perfect. A hell of a lot better than most stuff played on the radio today

I love this band..... and their from Pittsburgh, which makes them 100 times better in my opinion
Played a few shows with them in the early 90’s when I was in Dharma Sons. They were on a completely different level. Grew up with Rob, well, same High School and I even remember seeing him in talent shows and he was pro then.
Spotify recommended this song to me a couple weeks ago... Been addicted since. This song is perfection.

I grew up about 40 miles from Pitts....haven't lived back there in close to 40 years. I LOVE PA. I MISS PA...HOME SWEET HOME. AND I LOVE THE CLARKS AND I LOVE THIS SONG.

I watched you back in the day. Jeff Warnick was a very close friend. I met ya’ll back in 85 or 86 partying at Theta Xi. Loved you then, love you still. Im always very proud to say I know you. Also got in a fight while on a date with Brian Crouch somewhere in the Burg when some stupid girl tried to move in front of me. Pretty sure we were in Station Square. Not sure though.

You people wanna know why they never went national? Because they all have families and dont like to leave them. They like just playin in the few states they play in. They are proud of where they came from and they make enough money playin around here to support themselves. They dont need to go national to great. They're already great :D

The first time I heard these guys they just blew me away! I love Scott's voice. He's right, he was born to sing. I agree that these guys should be national stars, but I'm glad they're not. When you find a good thing you want to keep it close.

Saw them in Kittaning last night, they were super. Cannot figure out how they have all of these hits yet seem to never bust out nationally even after Letterman appearance...I guess that is good for us here locallt, though. I think that the lead guitarist is really something to hear...what talent and such a tight band!

I heard this song on a WV radio station today and it immediately took Me back to Pittsburgh's south side.
These guys make me proud to be from PA. And not in a stuck-up kind of way. I just really enjoy their music.

saw these guys for the first time in Erie, 3-31-12. I was absolutely blown away! I'm 51, played in a few bands in the early-mid '80's, THESE GUYS WERE GREAT!!!

I think this might be my second-favorite Clarks song, and one of my all-time favorite songs!! Some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet if you ever get a chance!! They went to college with my cousin and they played my family reunions for 10 years straight!! One year they played 2 songs saying they were going to release one of them as their single for the album they had just cut! They asked which of the two songs we liked, so I asked my grandfather which one he liked, and he said the second one! So Scott said, we're going with the second one! And here's where the story takes a shity turn, it ended up being a big hit, and I was too drunk to remember what it was!! 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

Love the Clarks...I copped every lick I know from two guys - Dave Brown from the Gathering Field, and Rob James from the Clarks. I've heard those licks or similar being played by other guitarists, but Rob & Dave were the most direct influences and I heard them playing first! Haha. Long LIve the Clarks!
I love this band... I'm in pittsburgh and my mom's friend knew the lead singer!!! He came to her funeral, she died of cancer, no lie!!!! I'm dead serious..!!

I must say The Clarks are one my favorite bands and this is such a great song. Stuff like this makes me so glad I moved back home to northern WV so I can chill in Pittsburgh whenerver the notion strikes me.

I saw them open for Chris Duarte in 1998 in Spartanburg, SC. Never understood why they didn't go bigger. Actually, I understand- crap sells, and their music was good.
I lived in Greer for a while. Campobello before that. Came from Boswell and now live 5 miles from the Flight 93 memorial.

@drewbrax1 the lead singer, Scott Blasey, is the only one who grew up in Connellsville. He lived across the street from me. His parents still do. The nicest people ever, and Scott is too.
Is Scott's dad still alive? Kinda think I know the answer but that guy was so freaking nice. I remember going into the staff cafeteria at 7 springs and him telling us all to watch Letterman that night because they were going to play.
I was @ IUP when they started. Love the music and the time.

The band was formed in 1986 at Indiana University of PA. The band were all from the Western PA area.
They call Pittsburgh 'home'.

I cannot believe that the rest of the country has not embraced them, especially after appearing on Letterman. But why didn't they sing one of their big hits on the show?
I saw them a dozen times between the fall of 1995 and the summer of 2000 when I left Greensburg to move back to Chicago. Truly one of the best regional bands I have ever seen. Their fans are legion and passionate and loyal. If you haven't seen the Clarks and ever have the opportunity, go. Do not hesitate. Go. When they break out "Penny on the Floor" at around 1 AM, you will be transformed.

Cool I didnt realize Malone, also someone remembered Batch too. His family was from the South Side I believe, I think his family worked at J&L. A true steel man. I hope more gets added, the Burgh is a really great place with a lot of pride and history.
