- Cam designed and built an incredible container home. This Tiny House has an elevator bed, rolling cabinet which reveals the shower, and the entire thing spans a stream! In this video, we take a look inside and learn why Cam decided to build a Tiny Home inside of a 20 foot shipping container.
I love how creative Cam got with this container home build. You can really tell he has a talent for design, and that he is trying to break down barriers with what can be done.

I'd love to have enough storage, and I'd have two storage containers, so I'd have room for both me and my sister.
That it expands a creek.
That it is over the creek. Growing up in a little valley between the mountains, we had a sulfa creek that ran through our back yard with a footbridge to the other side of our property and I loved sleeping in the back bedrooms where you could really hear that water and it was so peaceful and calming to fall asleep by.

I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.
I have seen alot of tiny homes and shipping containers. This by far is my favorite one. Very nice design and very functional!

Perfect 20ft container. This guy really nailed the best design for functionality, in the smallest space. Would add a small wood stove personally. Would love to know the cost of the build!

I'm a big fan of the elevator bed over the lounging area. I like how he enclosed the wench mechanism.
To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of shipping container homes in general. But I like the side opening & he is an excellent designer. Thumbs up 👍

If the folding shelf aligned with the height of the deep window sill, a one-foot wide shelf may be all that is needed. Same with the kitchen cupboards. A deep window sill across the entire length of the kitchen counter may only require a narrow kitchen counter. This would result in extra floor space.

This is an excellent use of space - this architect -builder has found his niche--- building tiny homes...just terrific and best wishes going forward with creating and designing beautiful tiny homes!
For a bathroom door, try a sliding pocket door, sliding barn door or a louvre door with multiple narrow folds. A shower curtain also works well as a door. For privacy, a skylight may be sufficient.
Pull-out boards beneath a mattress are also handy. Rather than a nightstand, try a totebag on a hook.
An american that pronounced “foyer” correctly! I never get sick of these tiny home videos. Always leaves me jealous too.
Love it. I love the layout/color scheme, but of course the fact that it spans over a creek is the bomb. Wish I owned it.

In the kitchen, open shelving for dishes may collect a lot of dust. Generally, I store everything away to keep it clean. I may display a few items at a time. Once they're dusty, I wash them, put them away and take out something new for a change of scene.

The sliding closet is brilliant. I woukd have space savers everywhere. Even small ones and no decorations myself. But very little.. And a few potted flowers and a garden outside, covered patio and BBQ outside would be great to.

I thought it was really an option for small living... The "couch" looked big enough for one person at least, so for a single person that would be enough. :-) I liked the idea that it could be closed and shipped anywhere. That creates a lot of possibilities for the future and for premade homes.
I must say this guy has an exceptional brain he shall knows how to tinker with things and make them efficient.

I love the green color. Your tiny Frank Lloyd Wright home. My grandmother was friends with Mr. Kaufman who owned Falling Waters and my mom learned to swim at the swimming pool there which is situated next to the guest cottage. Enjoy your fab home.

Terrific! First time seeing the side open like that; it really expands living space. One concern is the unit straddling the creek. Some recent storms turn babbling brooks into raging rivers.

For additional counter space, try a cutting board that fits over the sink or stove. Try pull-out boards. Cutting boards can also be used in your lap.
My favorite would have to be the side opening doors. Who knew!
This is both beautiful and remarkably functional!
On the outside of the container, most of the electrical units could fit beneath a window in a waterproof cupboard. Within the couch area, 3 arched windows may be suitable.

really cleverly and well done. It's a shame that the container doors can't be used without taking of the deck. It would feel safer to close it up while nobody is at home.

I guess I missed it in the tour but yes you got it.
Also when the closet is out for showering the fridge is in the bathroom making it easier to grab shower beers.
