If people keep calling them "bugged" or "broken" then Blizzard might actually "fix" it. From what i heard Blizzard already fixed the Firewall tick "bug" which made firewall viable, but i have not tested it yet so i can't say for sure.
As an original 1.09 PvP veteran this build gives me major PTSD. I used to play an Assassin focusing on Mind Blast and Wake of Fire with a ton of Shadow Skillers for also maxing my Shadow Master's damage. I obliterated the vast majority of Amazons in 1on1, to the point where my Shadow Master would sometimes even oneshot the Amazon if I manage to Dragon Flight to her while she's on her bowslot. But I once encountered an Amazon who got what I was doing. She started swapping out TGods and light res charms for faster hit recovery stuff and a Matri Bow, legit reaching 7fps. She kept me in block-lock and won 3-2 in the end. Close call, but one of the duels I remember very vividly. Definitely one of the best dueling experiences.
Good luck! Bowazon is my favorite, and I have a windforce and other great gear, but her damage output in Hell is just so limited it's sad. I wish you the best!
@@VersanGetryx i have one and run harmony + crushing blow on armor and monsters flee and it make my life easier cause most of the time monsters turn back and run and i spam strife on their backs. when they come foward, theres a valkyre so i can play in hell but sometimes things get hard. in flayer dungeon or against souls or death lords are the worse cause they come so fast and in so diffferent directios (flayer dungeon, they launch amplify damage) that its easy to die with 3 to 5 hits. Other than that all you gotta do is a little patience , hit and run and thats it. great build but its expensive even in a "low budget"
I run a bowzon and it has been the most fun I ever had in D2. Atm I mostly run chaos but pretty much any spot is nice to clear. If you dont have call to arms as a swap I can suggest using Harmony to get around even faster.
Can you try building 6 frame attacks with atma’s scarab please? Would like to see how many procs you can get at that speed. Be really nice for clearing higher player counts….
You don't need a crazy high aps to reliably proc Atma's. I have probably half the gear Llama has here in terms of worth, but I clear p8 cows as fast as he is clearing p3 cows... I run a2 might merc with pride, Lava Gout gloves instead of LoH, Gore Rider instead of War Travs, Valkyrie Wing instead of ias/ed/frw tiara and Windforce/Atma's instead of Faith/Highlord's... I'm procing Enchant and Amp Damage extremely frequently.
I am a lifetime Bowazon user and the reason is, because she murders everything. I noticed with the revamped Resurrected engine most toons are hitting faster than intended. But it's the quirks like this in a game that makes it interesting to play, take combos in Street Fighter 2 for example: that wasn't intended - Capcom pioneered the combo system in fighting games by accident.
I think key is Harmony.. Sold my CTA not needed. Im running Faith GMB with Act2 might/pride. Fortitude on ama 45/40 ias max hlm 20run speed. ~8.2k Guided and ~5,7k multi. Solo chaos in 4mins. Its Alot of fun!! Got torch but no Anni. Dont have any bigger problems joining 6-8player Mf games. Im doing just fine! No ints not a hammerdin but its good enough. Pricey tho! And yeah pride is awesome because ur merc cant keep up with you anyhow due to range attack and all frw so pride is the best he can do for u with might. And do not waste a eth Thresher for pride, do it in a White.
Next up do frenzy double swing barb with dual 6 sheal pb , 3x ias jewel barb helm , trechery or 4os armor with 40/15s, laying of hands , highlords , nosfaratu . Gores or goblin toes and 9x barb combats to boost frenzy and its stacks further .
You never heard about Fireclaw Bear? It was legit what you just said there xD 4 Shaels 2 15/40 Jewels. Would hit like a truck, sadly only single target. but would easierly hit for around 30-50k per hit as firedmg xD Search up Druid Fireclaw D2 xD
I know this horse is beaten at this point, but I run a gucci Bowazon (main strafe, multishot depending on group size/spread) and can run P8 cows pretty quick. Of course not as fast as Javazon, but incredible for Bowa. Faith, Giant Skull, Atmas, Fort, Razortail, War Trav, Ravenfrost, dual leech ring with max dmg and quad res (super lucky on that find), Laying of Hands. Merc - Pride/Might. My damage is 2.4k-7.4k. Not to mention crit and Amp dmg.

I have a wf and i REALLY wanted to make this work but it wont because of the base speed (10). You gotta max every slot with IAS including shael in the wf (+200ias) + lvl 20+ fanaticism to hit the new 6 frame attack. TLDR: winforce can only hit new 6frame attack in party with lvl 20 fanaticism.
Instead of guided arrow i maxed magic arrow (guided is bugged in d2r n wont pierce) bonis is the magic dmg lets u kill phys immunes also magic arrow consumes no arrows xD so can fire them all day n use multi when screen fills
Guided Arrow isn't bugged, they made it not able to pierce since they thought it was doing too much damage. Also maxing guided arrow gives you 240% damage to multishot, so why would you not want that?

@@miyagidojo9479 I think they should uncap strafe. It doesn’t really make sense kicksin fury and zealer can attack really fast but not strafe. Demon crossbow on strafe doesn’t benefit from any +IAS, that could explain why other bows are not usable compared to faith
Pretty sure a Act 1 merc with Faith bow. Windripper with a 15/40 in it. would be double the dmg. same attack speed if not more. So you are free to use Fortitude and still hitting the 6frames.
please please please do the 3 frame attack zealot, you only need a 32% IAS grief, and you can hit 157% across the rest of your gear, he is so fast and so powerful, it's insane
Thank you for finally doing a Broken IAS video on Bowazon. I rolled a 14/on my Faith in a 14% E.D. Matty bow myself. Ehh... With 1 peep saying I rolled in the wrong bow. Lol I put a delerium on her, I have strafe @ 55 IAS on her, but would have 100 if I stuck a Treachery on her. Switch between Cat's eye and atma's when the need arises. WS keep is no longer a dangerous place for me now.
Llama, if Blizzard somehow manages to "fix" this... I'm blaming you for it. Feels like when the kid tells the teacher they forgot to erase the answers on the board before a test.
@@lancepage1914 The thing is, these melee builds aren't any more OP than many spellcaster builds in old D2. These kill rates aren't any faster than, say - a blizzard or orb sorc. This really doesn't make the game easier - it just increases the variety of viable builds.
A similar thing with the audio happened the first D3 season when they brought their version of "Hammerdin". The game couldn't handle the sound of the many hammers hitting a mass of enemies and did pretty much sound like this bowazon.
Giantskull bone visage with 2 Sockets would be a nice swap in for this build. You can still get the 113 IAS BP, and you'll have Knockback and 10% Crushing Blow. I'd also probably go with the Goreriders for some more Crushing Blow. With such high ias you can expect it to "proc" a lot. Cheers Llama, thank you for such great content.
You know alot about this IAS for ama? maybe you can tell me this: How do i calculate attack speed? is it just a straight stat? like.. do i need 113% IAS across all items, for the breakpoint?
I rolled a perfect 345/2/15 mbow weeks ago. And trying the build with 14+ fanaticism on act1 merc with Botd hydra bow. Well, it's more powerful than mbow but act 2 merc can equip a Pride in the end
GMB Faith (fana level doesn't matter).. 20% gloves, nosf belt 10%, 20% amulet, 45% helm.. 95% ias, which is what's required for 7-frame with GMB (13 fana.. 15 fana requires 92).. setup allows you to use Fortitude, although you lose 33% razortail pierce, still sounds sexy.
Yep I think overall that would be slightly more DPS but of course that doesn't use the new broken frames (6 was never achievable in LOD) so I decided I will go for the memes more :)
this is where I'd like to see new runeword/uniques who can proc burst of speed on attacking for exemple, or simply add the skill to an item to cast. this will open a lot of possibilities to new builds. physical characters will enjoy that, or even elemental bowazon
I was thinking the same thing. It won't effect assasins that much and definitely won't effect casters. Good little end game balancer, especially since you can't really use with treachery. I think a one handed weapon or gloves would benefit.
Bowa was so good on eu nl on d2lod due to bug belt: 1all skills 33% pierce 10ias 25dex 15str 20@ 20% dr 10ll 10% slow So 95ias with gmb was ez. And then you could use a faith of ice gmb if u wanted a godly 2/30/str/dex/@/2soc diadem for a plague hybrid :)
Yeah, I’d love to see barb get some more buffs on top of this so that he becomes the ultimate melee class like he’s supposed to be. A bowazon needs a little love too because she falls off in damage really hard if you don’t have best in slot bows.
@Krista Melee characters have absolutely no problem clearing normal difficulty. I'm playing a spear/fend amazon at the moment, i.e the absolute worst melee build in the game, and went through normal /players8 without any issues. People should stop saying that melee isn't viable and needs bugs like the uncapped ias, melee builds might be not as OP as a blizzard sorc but they are perfectly viable and can tackle all the game's content on any difficulty. If you're having trouble beating normal difficulty the ias bug will not help you. You can't reach those new ias breakpoints with low lvl characters and cheap equipment anyway. If you're sweating in normal it's not because you're playing a melee character.
@@kathleendelcourt8136 It's the fact that they have to go close to the enemies, can always miss and AoE is not the greatest. Minions Of Destruction which are the last baal wave surrounded and killed my leeching wolf druid in normal.
So i think what we are getting at is we want a a2 might merc with pride. And try to hit the 2nd fastest frames with a matriarchal faith bow? Ive made so many damn builds in character edit and i feel like im just going in circles for days.
Multi shot is good. In some instances and strafe is good in other instances. Cows definitely multi shot. Ancient tunnels or the pit, strafe all the way, that's a turret in a hallway. I may just be biased because I just don't like multi. I also stopped playing LoD just after torches were introduced, and was the odd one out using strafe.
I would love to see some buffs to underused characters. It’s only been 20 years lol. When were the last buffs? Were there ever any? I can’t recall I love the bowazon. I just struggle to do high end gear
The last Nerfs and buffs came in 1.14 Legacy. Where they added Magic immunes to the game at baal throne room to prevent botters from spamming baalruns. 1.13b They removed Iron maiding from Spell casters in Chaos sanctuary so your merc wouldnt die constantly. After that nothing else has been made changed or added.
With a really good enchant this bowzon would 1 shot cows probably. Though you could also just have a mostly naked amazon running fast with high level multishot that 1 shot cows with a good enchant.

i made a phys strafeazon running windforce with faith on the merc at 100 IAS. But i run atmas for the amp dmg. it will proc so much so will be able to kill physical immunes.

I get it the visual animations are at a faster frame rate but is the damage really being applied? Each of these videos I see the fast attack speed but the clear speed is not that much more faster. Maybe it's just a visual bug? Could you do a comparison same gear except keep one at the legacy ias breakpoint and the other at the new bugged breakpoint?
I made a server crash bowzon back then. I gave my a1 merc a hydrabow faith and I was wearing a phoenix bow with torch cats LoH 1 or 2 strafes = server dead :D
Mr Lama! Remember there is that effect on plenty of items "attacker takes damage of x" it's possible to stack it quite high i wonder if that could be stacked high enough to be somewhere close to the grief weapon effect... Wonder if that would work... What do you think?
If the new break point is 113. And you have 130ias with all the gear. Is it possible to fill one of your tiaras sockets with something else? 40ed/15max. You'd be at 115ias, above the 113 break point. Is this correct? What's the point of adding an extra ias jewel?

Hi mrllama, have you considered a demon crossbow runeword with faith bow in a1 Merc, 113 IAS in gear is enough for 4/2/2/2/5 strafe frames
would be cool if they removed physical resistance against missiles and summon cause they are already weak and adding that 50% phys res kills the bowazon in higher player count and summoners.
Hydra bow is the best bow. High average dmg high attack speed. Best version is the unique Windripper which spawns with 40% attack speed Leech and much more useful stats.
Hey llama do you know if ias has been affected to smite aswel? I have 80 ias (60 weap, 20 highlords) how if I add 20ias from the bloodgloves I made, I dont really see a difference
I think physical character need more love! It would be nice if Bliz considers updating and balancing D2R to make this game more exciting. D2 is such a amazing game and I believe it could be better!
I think it's fine the way it is. More content like runes, runewords, set and uniques or new events i would be fine with. For everything else, with the current iteration of the game Vicarious Visions have fixed the game, and that's more than a can say about current day Blizzard. All you need to do is play the original game, then play D2R and compare. If Blizzard "address the IAS bug" i will quit Diablo 2.

The new breakpoints just got patched. I was having so much fun, I really hoped it stayed.

I love this bug, I hope it's kept. It has opened up the game quite a bit for these tired old builds but without really changing anything major.

I checked the bugged calculator. Strafe doesn’t benefit from this bug. It’s very easy to cap strafe speed.

Thank you for finally doing a Broken IAS video on Bowazon. I rolled a 14/on my Faith in a 14% E.D. Matty bow myself. Ehh... With 1 peep saying I rolled in the wrong bow. Lol I put a delerium on her, I have strafe @ 55 IAS on her, but would have 100 if I stuck a Treachery on her. Switch between Cat's eye and atma's when the need arises. WS keep is no longer a dangerous place for me now.

Llama, if Blizzard somehow manages to "fix" this... I'm blaming you for it. Feels like when the kid tells the teacher they forgot to erase the answers on the board before a test.
You think the answer to this issue is to buff all the mobs lol. Because of the players are hitting more and faster, the monsters would have to be too.
@@lancepage1914 The thing is, these melee builds aren't any more OP than many spellcaster builds in old D2. These kill rates aren't any faster than, say - a blizzard or orb sorc.
This really doesn't make the game easier - it just increases the variety of viable builds.
I hope they won't change it, because it's not something most players will ever get to anyway, and it's actually fun!

A similar thing with the audio happened the first D3 season when they brought their version of "Hammerdin". The game couldn't handle the sound of the many hammers hitting a mass of enemies and did pretty much sound like this bowazon.

Giantskull bone visage with 2 Sockets would be a nice swap in for this build. You can still get the 113 IAS BP, and you'll have Knockback and 10% Crushing Blow. I'd also probably go with the Goreriders for some more Crushing Blow. With such high ias you can expect it to "proc" a lot. Cheers Llama, thank you for such great content.
You know alot about this IAS for ama? maybe you can tell me this: How do i calculate attack speed? is it just a straight stat? like.. do i need 113% IAS across all items, for the breakpoint?
Folllowup question, how do i calculate the increased IAS from using Faith Matriarcial bow / matron bow?
I rolled a perfect 345/2/15 mbow weeks ago. And trying the build with 14+ fanaticism on act1 merc with Botd hydra bow. Well, it's more powerful than mbow but act 2 merc can equip a Pride in the end
i finded chiped topaz and saphire
GMB Faith (fana level doesn't matter).. 20% gloves, nosf belt 10%, 20% amulet, 45% helm.. 95% ias, which is what's required for 7-frame with GMB (13 fana.. 15 fana requires 92).. setup allows you to use Fortitude, although you lose 33% razortail pierce, still sounds sexy.
Yep I think overall that would be slightly more DPS but of course that doesn't use the new broken frames (6 was never achievable in LOD) so I decided I will go for the memes more :)
this is where I'd like to see new runeword/uniques who can proc burst of speed on attacking for exemple, or simply add the skill to an item to cast. this will open a lot of possibilities to new builds. physical characters will enjoy that, or even elemental bowazon
I was thinking the same thing. It won't effect assasins that much and definitely won't effect casters. Good little end game balancer, especially since you can't really use with treachery. I think a one handed weapon or gloves would benefit.

I miss my frozen arrow bow for cows. They all just shatter.
I have quite similar build but i prefer to use the magic arrow for the ability to go through multiple targets. It just destroys even physical imunes

And then you could use a faith of ice gmb if u wanted a godly 2/30/str/dex/@/2soc diadem for a plague hybrid :)

Yeah, I’d love to see barb get some more buffs on top of this so that he becomes the ultimate melee class like he’s supposed to be. A bowazon needs a little love too because she falls off in damage really hard if you don’t have best in slot bows.
@Krista Melee characters have absolutely no problem clearing normal difficulty. I'm playing a spear/fend amazon at the moment, i.e the absolute worst melee build in the game, and went through normal /players8 without any issues. People should stop saying that melee isn't viable and needs bugs like the uncapped ias, melee builds might be not as OP as a blizzard sorc but they are perfectly viable and can tackle all the game's content on any difficulty.
If you're having trouble beating normal difficulty the ias bug will not help you. You can't reach those new ias breakpoints with low lvl characters and cheap equipment anyway. If you're sweating in normal it's not because you're playing a melee character.
@@kathleendelcourt8136 It's the fact that they have to go close to the enemies, can always miss and AoE is not the greatest. Minions Of Destruction which are the last baal wave surrounded and killed my leeching wolf druid in normal.
So i think what we are getting at is we want a a2 might merc with pride. And try to hit the 2nd fastest frames with a matriarchal faith bow? Ive made so many damn builds in character edit and i feel like im just going in circles for days.

Multi shot is good. In some instances and strafe is good in other instances. Cows definitely multi shot. Ancient tunnels or the pit, strafe all the way, that's a turret in a hallway.
I may just be biased because I just don't like multi. I also stopped playing LoD just after torches were introduced, and was the odd one out using strafe.

The last Nerfs and buffs came in 1.14 Legacy. Where they added Magic immunes to the game at baal throne room to prevent botters from spamming baalruns. 1.13b They removed Iron maiding from Spell casters in Chaos sanctuary so your merc wouldnt die constantly. After that nothing else has been made changed or added.
With a really good enchant this bowzon would 1 shot cows probably. Though you could also just have a mostly naked amazon running fast with high level multishot that 1 shot cows with a good enchant.

I went treachery this time leveling with witchwild string and man all that juicy IAS was the funnest I have ever had through NM early Hell.
i made a phys strafeazon running windforce with faith on the merc at 100 IAS. But i run atmas for the amp dmg. it will proc so much so will be able to kill physical immunes.
Been waiting for this. Zon is my favourite class

I get it the visual animations are at a faster frame rate but is the damage really being applied? Each of these videos I see the fast attack speed but the clear speed is not that much more faster. Maybe it's just a visual bug? Could you do a comparison same gear except keep one at the legacy ias breakpoint and the other at the new bugged breakpoint?
I made a server crash bowzon back then. I gave my a1 merc a hydrabow faith and I was wearing a phoenix bow with torch cats LoH 1 or 2 strafes = server dead :D
Mr Lama! Remember there is that effect on plenty of items "attacker takes damage of x" it's possible to stack it quite high i wonder if that could be stacked high enough to be somewhere close to the grief weapon effect... Wonder if that would work... What do you think?

If the new break point is 113. And you have 130ias with all the gear. Is it possible to fill one of your tiaras sockets with something else? 40ed/15max. You'd be at 115ias, above the 113 break point. Is this correct? What's the point of adding an extra ias jewel?
Hi mrllama, have you considered a demon crossbow runeword with faith bow in a1 Merc, 113 IAS in gear is enough for 4/2/2/2/5 strafe frames
Doesn't Multishot only pierce on the two center arrows? Or is that just every single other effect in the game that only applies on the center arrows?
Would some pdsc work better for pushing p8 cows? AR is really high so some max/ar could be swapped if needed
would be cool if they removed physical resistance against missiles and summon cause they are already weak and adding that 50% phys res kills the bowazon in higher player count and summoners.

Is whirlwind barb effected by the attack speed bug or does it just have set frames?
Whirlwind is affected by attack speed on weapon only, so it makes it kind of difficult to collect too much AS (armor attack speed doesn't work)
I would rather put Faith bow on a Merc then use Windforce for way more damage.

You should use a Diamond or Shadow bow for more IAS, they hit better average damage. The + skills from the GMB/MB doesn't add a lot to damage ether.
Hydra bow is the best bow. High average dmg high attack speed. Best version is the unique Windripper which spawns with 40% attack speed Leech and much more useful stats.
Hey llama do you know if ias has been affected to smite aswel? I have 80 ias (60 weap, 20 highlords) how if I add 20ias from the bloodgloves I made, I dont really see a difference

I think physical character need more love! It would be nice if Bliz considers updating and balancing D2R to make this game more exciting. D2 is such a amazing game and I believe it could be better!
I think it's fine the way it is. More content like runes, runewords, set and uniques or new events i would be fine with.
For everything else, with the current iteration of the game Vicarious Visions have fixed the game, and that's more than a can say about current day Blizzard. All you need to do is play the original game, then play D2R and compare. If Blizzard "address the IAS bug" i will quit Diablo 2.
