I already know that their are gonna be people that are gonna wish Darlin killed him but honestly I’m glad it went this way. It shows how much Darlin has grown as a person. The old Tank that was on a man hunt for Quinn would have killed him on sight but for Tank to be able to walk away while Quinn is screaming for them to finish the job is fucking fantastic! It shows that Quinn no longer has that hold on them and that the thought of him can no longer hurt Tank like he wants it to. He can no longer manipulate and gaslight Darlin. Erik you did fantastic and so did GoodBoyAudios! Sam and Tanks storyline is my favorite and I’m so happy that this cloud isn’t hanging over them anymore. Thank you Erik! Sure, Darlin finally got to take out some of their anger physically on Quinn which is great because he deserves it, but in the very end Darlin _knew_ that in order to cause Quinn the most pain, they had to show him that he doesn’t have control over them anymore and that they’ve moved on, so they walked away despite him trying to convince them that they were obsessed with him and not the other way around. Notice how Darlin not listening to Quinn irked him more than them breaking his literal bones? I’m glad they flipped his mind games instead of killing him. That’s deep right there. Erik never disappoints with his characters. Wow.

This (probably final?) video in this saga ties together wonderfully how this story was never about the "big bad". It was never about Quinn. It was and is about Darlin' and Sam. Two people who have been hurt by the world and people in heinous ways and are finding a new way forward with each other. Supporting each other in every way they can. Healing and learning. Quinn is not getting the final word. He wanted to see them both destroyed but he failed. Though when I'm thinking about future storylines I see this Quinn thing having a possible impact. We're very likely going to see the Monarcial Summit this year as it keeps getting mentioned. Quinn was turned by old blood possibly meaning a monarch(?). So having him excecuted could cause some future conflict between the Solaire clan and some other vamps. But we'll see what Erik cooks up. Right now I'm just enjoying this video and the 'ending' we got.
I kinda hope the next "big bad" is Alexis. We haven't seen her in the canon world yet and imp! Alexis and Quinn were a thing so... Maybe they were in this universe too and she gets pissed or something...?

Originally I wanted a big showdown fight to the death but Darlin’ being grown and feeling safe enough to just walk away from Quinn and not fall to the hatred is so much better
Having Darlin walk away from Quinn, after spending so long searching for him to get revenge, having them walk away while Quinn screams at them to come back... I'd say that's more satisfying then proving him right by killing him in anger and frustration. Darlin isn't who they used to be and they just solidified that with this moment.

The pride I feel for Darlin for walking away. They had every right to tear Quinn apart limb from limb, but they knew it’s what he would’ve wanted. To get that kind of reaction out of them would mean that he still had a power over them, in Quinn’s head at least. We all know that Darlin is a tank, stronger than many. But this showed a level of mental and emotional strength that they worked so hard for with Sam as support.

I'm just shaking, I was too scared if this was going to end with a fight between Darlin and Quinn, but GODDAMN, this was so much better. Get to listen to Quinn yelling because of the pain, that was so satisfying. And then him yelling at Darlin, trying to order them to go back, and Darlin just walking away, as if they said "you have no control over me, you can't tell me what to do" GOD that was fantastic.

Yeah I was getting a mixture of livid and anxious when he was equating the consensual physical hurt to the non-consensual emotional abuse he did. Fuck him for that self absolution. And good on Darlin' for unravelling him when they showed elements of calm, getting him to reveal Darlin' is his weakness. And good on Sam for showing Quinn that he's not listening to his manipulation and that Sam is ever the understanding healer that supports Darlin' 100% and is confidently willing to shove that in Quinns face
seeing darling and Sam grow over the years and dealing with Quinn's torment looming over the both of them and the end outcome is so satisfying, darling being able to walk away and out the room was INCREDIBLE character growth. I'm so glad the two of them will finally be at peace knowing he won't be on the prowl or around any corner so they can finally live. 12/10 *chefs kiss*

the warnings in the description were intimidating enough but MAN Quinn makes me feel so gross. the way he talks (to Darlin) is nasty & i'm so glad that they got to fuck him up finally. & as much as i wanted Quinn to be dead, it was more badass of Darlin to walk away imo. i bet it took a lot of strength for them to hold back but it shows that they've grown a lot
Everything about this was so flipping cathartic. From the audio indicators of Sam and Darlin’s blows, to the way GBA played Quinn at this point in the story. I know Sam said it before, but it hits different when you literally hear Quinn attempting to grab at the very last straws he had, only to loose the last form of power he thought he had on Darlin’. You both did an awesome job with this, Redacted and GBA! I’m stoked to find out what‘s next!
I did wonder why he wouldn't bite her but it makes sense with Sams high tolerance for Blood and distain for what he is.. Darling is going to get to a frustrated breaking point though. If you have a need for something of that Nature and deny yourself it over and over. Unless you have a strong enough Willpower like Sam. I don't think Darling is going to last much longer before she starts looking for ways to get that pain fix another way. (I'd never see them cheating on Sam by going to anyone else for Bites. But I wouldn't put it past them to start self harming. Slowly at first but it would get to the point that Sam notices or catches them.) It's going to come to the point where Sam has to decide if he can or not. If not then they need to find a way for Darling to get that release she needs safely without the risk of anything.
another amazing job by GoodBoy Audios! He’s been able to really bring a whole lot to Quinn’s character, ughh making me want to actually punch the crap out of Quinn myself. BUT more importantly, I’m incredibly proud of darlin for walking away and not giving him the satisfaction of being right !
Hearing Quinn get beat up was so satisfying. This audio just proves how much of a tank Darlin really is lol. Darlin just walking away from Quinn while he was screaming at them to get back was honestly a power move. It just shows the development that Darlin has had as a character because if they would've found Quinn originally during the time when this series first started i guarantee that they would've straight up killed him. Darlin walking away just shows how Quinn no longer has any control over them and that they've moved on. Thats the reason why Darlin walking away cuased Quinn more pain and made him angrier than them literally breaking his bones, because hes now aware that he has no control over Darlin. Also letting Sam get those final hits in was amazing, i was cheering him on! This Audio is a masterpiece. GBA did amazing once again when voicing Quinn. This is honestly the best way that this part of this series could've been wrapped up, its amazing seeing how far Darlin and Sam have gone throughout the entire series. I can deeply empathize with you there, a few years ago I went through something similar (was lucky he ended up in jail for his crimes), but I was hesitant about this audio for the exact same reason. Like you though I ended up finding it so therapeutic and satisfying in a way that my real life closure never was. It was so well done! I figured that Quinn would try to make his death one last stab at Darlin, by pushing them enough to kill him and cause darlin to get in trouble with the department. Denying him the pleasure of controlling them is a beautiful vengeance that hurts more than any injuries would ever cause him.

This was... So oddly cathartic. I mean, I don't even know how to put it. GBA was AMAZING as per usual, the greatest Quinn we could've asked for! The fact that Darlin' walked away! I was grinning from ear to ear! Offering Sam the chance to have a go at Quinn, a go at closure too... David's "I've got the door." The fact that not only did the cassette player change colors every time Quinn was hit BUT THERE WAS THE CRACKED SYMBOL!! This was a brilliant audio Erik, thank you! X) And really, I did not expect to feel this sort of weightlessness (is this a word?) from this particular moment, but hey, here we are. Then again... I guess we all wish for a chance to take it out on those who have scarred us, it seems like the goal in one way shape or form, but really the goal is what Darlin' did... To be able to TRULY walk away. Not for show, not to play them, not to lie to ourselves but to be able to say "you know what? you're not worth my suffering". Doesn't mean magically healing, just to let go... So yeah, in retrospective, no wonder it felt cathartic...
Gosh, the visual design is just as enthralling (pun intended) as the audio. The flashes of red with each hit, the cracks in the symbol when a bone is broken, it all serves to heighten the experience. I'm really glad Darlin' got to do this, they really needed that closure. In the same vein, I'm doubly glad Sam got to get his pound of flesh. The situation with Frederick has really weighed on him and while I might not have been able to listen to Frederick's videos, I can tell they still impact Sam in a big way. He really needed that release, whether he realized it or not.

I already know that their are gonna be people that are gonna wish Darlin killed him but honestly I’m glad it went this way. It shows how much Darlin has grown as a person. The old Tank that was on a man hunt for Quinn would have killed him on sight but for Tank to be able to walk away while Quinn is screaming for them to finish the job is fucking fantastic! It shows that Quinn no longer has that hold on them and that the thought of him can no longer hurt Tank like he wants it to. He can no longer manipulate and gaslight Darlin.

But on another note, the whole cruel vampire ex series has showed us that Quinn is a manipulative freak, but this video in particular really shone some more light on that topic, and it also shone some light on how intelligent and emotionally strong Darlin has become. Sure, Darlin finally got to take out some of their anger physically on Quinn which is great because he deserves it, but in the very end Darlin _knew_ that in order to cause Quinn the most pain, they had to show him that he doesn’t have control over them anymore and that they’ve moved on, so they walked away despite him trying to convince them that they were obsessed with him and not the other way around. Notice how Darlin not listening to Quinn irked him more than them breaking his literal bones? I’m glad they flipped his mind games instead of killing him. That’s deep right there. Erik never disappoints with his characters. Wow.

This (probably final?) video in this saga ties together wonderfully how this story was never about the "big bad". It was never about Quinn. It was and is about Darlin' and Sam. Two people who have been hurt by the world and people in heinous ways and are finding a new way forward with each other. Supporting each other in every way they can. Healing and learning.
Quinn is not getting the final word. He wanted to see them both destroyed but he failed.
Though when I'm thinking about future storylines I see this Quinn thing having a possible impact. We're very likely going to see the Monarcial Summit this year as it keeps getting mentioned. Quinn was turned by old blood possibly meaning a monarch(?). So having him excecuted could cause some future conflict between the Solaire clan and some other vamps.
But we'll see what Erik cooks up. Right now I'm just enjoying this video and the 'ending' we got.
I kinda hope the next "big bad" is Alexis. We haven't seen her in the canon world yet and imp! Alexis and Quinn were a thing so...
Maybe they were in this universe too and she gets pissed or something...?

The pride I feel for Darlin for walking away. They had every right to tear Quinn apart limb from limb, but they knew it’s what he would’ve wanted. To get that kind of reaction out of them would mean that he still had a power over them, in Quinn’s head at least. We all know that Darlin is a tank, stronger than many. But this showed a level of mental and emotional strength that they worked so hard for with Sam as support.

I was afraid Darling would’ve killed Quinn BUT THEY DIDNT❤️ Darling finally noticed what he was doing, it took an amazing amount of will and courage to finally walk away only to reveal that that’s exactly what Quinn was so desperate for.

I'm just shaking, I was too scared if this was going to end with a fight between Darlin and Quinn, but GODDAMN, this was so much better. Get to listen to Quinn yelling because of the pain, that was so satisfying. And then him yelling at Darlin, trying to order them to go back, and Darlin just walking away, as if they said "you have no control over me, you can't tell me what to do" GOD that was fantastic.

Yeah I was getting a mixture of livid and anxious when he was equating the consensual physical hurt to the non-consensual emotional abuse he did. Fuck him for that self absolution. And good on Darlin' for unravelling him when they showed elements of calm, getting him to reveal Darlin' is his weakness. And good on Sam for showing Quinn that he's not listening to his manipulation and that Sam is ever the understanding healer that supports Darlin' 100% and is confidently willing to shove that in Quinns face

Anyone else think there a darker meaning behind what Quinn said about the leaving a mark and saying his legacy lives on in us
Everything about this was so flipping cathartic. From the audio indicators of Sam and Darlin’s blows, to the way GBA played Quinn at this point in the story. I know Sam said it before, but it hits different when you literally hear Quinn attempting to grab at the very last straws he had, only to loose the last form of power he thought he had on Darlin’.
You both did an awesome job with this, Redacted and GBA! I’m stoked to find out what‘s next!
I did wonder why he wouldn't bite her but it makes sense with Sams high tolerance for Blood and distain for what he is.. Darling is going to get to a frustrated breaking point though. If you have a need for something of that Nature and deny yourself it over and over. Unless you have a strong enough Willpower like Sam. I don't think Darling is going to last much longer before she starts looking for ways to get that pain fix another way. (I'd never see them cheating on Sam by going to anyone else for Bites. But I wouldn't put it past them to start self harming. Slowly at first but it would get to the point that Sam notices or catches them.)
It's going to come to the point where Sam has to decide if he can or not. If not then they need to find a way for Darling to get that release she needs safely without the risk of anything.

Darlin just walking away from Quinn while he was screaming at them to get back was honestly a power move. It just shows the development that Darlin has had as a character because if they would've found Quinn originally during the time when this series first started i guarantee that they would've straight up killed him. Darlin walking away just shows how Quinn no longer has any control over them and that they've moved on. Thats the reason why Darlin walking away cuased Quinn more pain and made him angrier than them literally breaking his bones, because hes now aware that he has no control over Darlin. Also letting Sam get those final hits in was amazing, i was cheering him on!
This Audio is a masterpiece. GBA did amazing once again when voicing Quinn. This is honestly the best way that this part of this series could've been wrapped up, its amazing seeing how far Darlin and Sam have gone throughout the entire series. The only minor thing I could even find to complain about this would be the mention of Frederick's "Progeny" (A.k.a the *Redacted* B̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶e̶y̶e̶s̶ *Redacted* Listener character that was wiped out of existence.) Like that kind hurt because I found this channel right after the purge and I never got to hear their story. Oh well. I enjoyed this Arc a lot and I'm looking forward to the Vampire Summit on the way!! ❤
I love that when Quinn told Darlin that they would be the one to break them and Sam up, they half shifted and broke several of Quinn’s bones just for saying that shit.

I figured that Quinn would try to make his death one last stab at Darlin, by pushing them enough to kill him and cause darlin to get in trouble with the department. Denying him the pleasure of controlling them is a beautiful vengeance that hurts more than any injuries would ever cause him.

This was... So oddly cathartic. I mean, I don't even know how to put it.
GBA was AMAZING as per usual, the greatest Quinn we could've asked for! The fact that Darlin' walked away! I was grinning from ear to ear! Offering Sam the chance to have a go at Quinn, a go at closure too... David's "I've got the door." The fact that not only did the cassette player change colors every time Quinn was hit BUT THERE WAS THE CRACKED SYMBOL!! This was a brilliant audio Erik, thank you! X)
And really, I did not expect to feel this sort of weightlessness (is this a word?) from this particular moment, but hey, here we are. Then again... I guess we all wish for a chance to take it out on those who have scarred us, it seems like the goal in one way shape or form, but really the goal is what Darlin' did... To be able to TRULY walk away. Not for show, not to play them, not to lie to ourselves but to be able to say "you know what? you're not worth my suffering". Doesn't mean magically healing, just to let go... So yeah, in retrospective, no wonder it felt cathartic...
Gosh, the visual design is just as enthralling (pun intended) as the audio. The flashes of red with each hit, the cracks in the symbol when a bone is broken, it all serves to heighten the experience.
I'm really glad Darlin' got to do this, they really needed that closure. In the same vein, I'm doubly glad Sam got to get his pound of flesh. The situation with Frederick has really weighed on him and while I might not have been able to listen to Frederick's videos, I can tell they still impact Sam in a big way. He really needed that release, whether he realized it or not.
