I accidentally made a scenecore beat, and I loved the beat so much I’m committed to making it a full song, so now I have to rake through the comments of scenecore playlist vids to try and analyze wtf I have gotten myself into.
gonna voice my opinion since theres a lot of people debating on if this is scene or not, my thought is no it is not scene, and nor does it state to be scene, it states to be SCENECORE which despite the name, it is not exactly scene, sure its similar but the main thing is it borrows a lot of aspects of scene but also has some of its own, the songs in this playlist sounds like it was made to be in sound of scene, but not exactly scene itself therefore spreading into the genre of scenecore, theres a chance everything i've said is not 100% accurate so if im wrong feel free to correct me but this is my opinion ^^

@@furinara as i explained in my comment, when the word “core” is added to the end of a specific music genre, such as scene, that means that’s it’s a subgenre of it that blends together hardcore punk with the original genre. scenecore was a term used a long time ago b4 hyperpop even existed to describe scene hardcore bands. these bands listed all fall under the hardcore genre and are still bands that are associated with the scene subculture. the music people call “scenecore” today takes aspects of scene music and blends it with hyperpop. the suffix “core” has no relation to hyperpop so therefore it wouldn’t make any sense to call this music scenecore. so yes, scene and scenecore are different things

Originally scene music was just like basically BOTDF and it was also called crunkcore. Now, my best definition for scene music is that it is only just an umbrella term at this point for hyperpop songs that aim to reflect on the 2000-2010s subculture of scene and emo. Hence, edgy lyrics due to era of the time. Note the nostalgic music from that era being re-sampled beyond belief. I call these music scenecore just cause I been using that term since I first heard it. My phone it gonna die by Edit: my bad scene music now isn’t real scene music it’s actually called scene revival.

Originally scene music was just like basically BOTDF and it was also called crunkcore. Now, my best definition for scene music is that it is only just an umbrella term at this point for hyperpop songs that aim to reflect on the 2000-2010s subculture of scene and emo. Hence, edgy lyrics due to era of the time. Note the nostalgic music from that era being re-sampled beyond belief. I call these music scenecore just cause I been using that term since I first heard it. My phone it gonna die by

should i know why? Because most of it's artist's are. Its just thing of "new" scene music. If it doesn't include the scene music and songs of 2000 it's because to stay more tuned or just because those songs fit more to each other.
