could you do a video for the osmo action 4 of setting up "3 main vlogging presets"
so one settings presets for daytime vlogging (which you have)
one for moving fast like on a bike or stuff where motion happens (action)
one for night or low light situations with potentially removing the lens
I film almost daily for my Wood-Logs but really not sure if I have anything valuable to share on Vlogging.
I have my DJI action ready with custom settings for quick switch between talking head and Timelapse and slow mo.
I have it on a magnet too that is amazing for quickly attaching to metal stuff.
The Netflix Style intro was dope!!

I have the camera a couple of weeks now and love it. The close focus is definitely an issue for vlogging though but holding the camera a bit further back works fine. For scenery videos, low light and even photos I think it's great

What id love is a version of the vertical adapter that insta make but that converts to DJI magnetic mount! I much prefer that and have both so would make my life easier
Just got the solo transmitter mic 2 for my osmo action 4 (not 2 typo) Pretty great eliminating the receiver.
I didn't know the mic 2 works with the Action 2...I'm about to test it out!!!

I think the medium sharpness is better than low in all the reviews I've seen. It's rare for anyone to ever be in focus when on the AcePro. That needs to be addressed in a firmware update of on the 2.0.

And yea.. I actually forgot to mention the getting a diopter for it… I’ve been seeing this used on it.. and it’s perfect if your a close vlogger like me.. hahaha
@@ItzSKYVlogs I've seen the 3D printed adapters, but they're huge! Insta360 should have a vlogging setting that adjusts the focus or create a slip on lens on their own.

@@ItzSKYVlogs t would be helpful to see some more vlogging footage in Standard Vs. Vivid. Not the custom Luts. Did you sync the sound up in post or is it Bluetooth form DJI Mic? Any of it with just the internal mic? Did you do any noise reduction in post?
For me with Ace Pro everything is out of focus unless you are over 60cm distance from the lens.

I’ll let you know right now that I think the pocket 3 is a better vlog camera. But action cameras can definitely be a great tool for vlogging :)

Sheez, working for 3 months down in Dallas for a large international customer back in the late 90’s, commuting between new york and dallas, with the free lunch buffet having baked potatoes, chilli con carne, nacho cheese plates, baked potatoe stuffing up the wazoo I gained like 20 pounds in three months … now I have the advantage of being self employed and eating dry bread and dinner leftovers for lunch … yaaaaay

Like, are you secretly heading somewhere, or did you find your purpose and land exactly where you wanna be? I think you’ve mentioned not wanting to do like movies and stuff, but are you secretly moving towards something in the future? One huge issue I’ve had with the ace pro is the Amt of flickering/noise I get from the auto settings. I have to manually choose everything for shots to look good. 4k30 auto settings normal/vivid mode, medium sharpness always comes out with terrible shots. It’s like the camera is always trying to overcompensate for any light coming in the camera. I think the auto iso may be a huge issue but I’m still not totally sure. Lmk!!
Oh man.. yea I’ve seen similar results.. try shooting in flat… that’s helps a lot.

I like the form factor of the action cameras. The Pocket 3 has a much better image than this Ace Pro in my opinion. If they can put the 1 inch sensor in the Action 5 they’ll get my money in a heartbeat. Especially if it has the lossless zoom of this Ace Pro.

Oooh man.. I would say for your use… I’d go with the pocket 3 if I’m honest.
Also maybe purchase both on Amazon and return the one you don’t like.. I’ve done this soooo many times… its a great way to figure out what you want

2 Months in and i love mine, too bad the min focus is longer then it's competitor but I don't vlog that close and if I do, the dioptre is in my gear bag. Great review as usual!

@@ItzSKYVlogs If you got a 46/49/52mm close up lens, I've designed 3D printed adapters for them, I have 46mm close up lenses already.
I also have the Ace pro, I find that the video is often very grainy especially on overcast days.
Oh man I can understand that.. it’s funny tho because I see grain on ace pro and action 4 as well due to all the days with very little sun as well.. but I noticed that I don’t see the grain while I’m editing… but I do see the grain in the previews…
Have you editing the footage and still noticed graining?
Really great advices, have 2 questions. What camera did you use to film the first 15sec? I think it looked better then the Insta footage, I could see your face clear. And second question, did you use Low Sharpness settings on the Insta or something? I can't see your face clear in any footage shot on the Insta compared to the first 15sec. Or is because of the "focus" issue we see everywhere about the Insta 360 Ace Pro? Thank you
The camera I used for the hook was my Sony zve-1 :)
Oh and for the low light.. I just put it in pure video.. and in this setting you cant change sharpness. But what I’ve noticed is that there’s a lot of noise reduction added.. which can make image a bit funky in some scenes
And yea I’ve noticed the same.. but I think I’m just too close to the camera… so I’m a bit out of focus. What I’ve seen is that you can get a diopter for it.. that’s makes it perfect for close vloggers like me… hahaha

To be honest… I kinda do prefer the action 4… I just ordered a diopter and trying to see if that’ll change my mind about it.

Hi Sky! I totally get the shy people comment you made. I just got back from camping at Clearwater/ Saint Petersburg area and I took my new Insta 360 Flow. I took a 4-5 minute video for my own little channel and for some reason I was shy about being seen filming. I’m not sure if you covered this before but for me, it’s a thing! @@ItzSKYVlogs agreed! I don’t feel the same way when I hook up my GoPro on my mountain bike and record but for some reason, it’s only when I’m holding it with my hands. Like I remember when I was recording, there were a couple walking my direction and I legit b-lined like nope, not today and turned around 😂
I’ve got the action 4 mainly for Timelapse as battery life is superb, but it struggles with day to night Timelapse’s
Have you tried any on this? Would be good to know more before buying

Man the image quality is just not there, idk compared to the action 4 it seems pretty dull, but that's just my opinion.
You know I feel the same sometimes.. but what I realized is that the sun plays a huuuuuuuugggeee role. Hahahahah
Maaan I was looking at old omso action 1 footage of when I was living in LA.. and maaaan… the quality is insane!!!!! But yea man… I think lighting is the biggest factor with these cameras.
