44 years ago! I was there - still fresh in my mind. Went to all his concerts in Jamaica; was metres from his mausoleum at burial - a true fan then and still am and growing. Kez H.
"The people who are trying to make the world worse are not taking a day off. How can I?” -Bob Marley after getting shot and 2 days later still getting on stage. He dreamed he could cure the world of racism and violence through music, and I will never stop believing that dream. Such an intense, and beautiful man. One love ✊🏼
No one did ever a performance like that…no one. Even the great Peter Tosh didn’t that. Bob was the best performer on stage with no doubt. He was the real redeemer of mankind. JAH will bless his soul eternally.
I was part of the film crew on stage during Bob's performance. Perry Henzel, myself, Don Taylor, Peter Frank , Chris Blackwell and Jeff Walker from Island organized the shoot. It was an exciting time, we had walkie talkies with us, so we stayed up to date. Jeff Walker was at Strawberry Hill, I was at National Hero's Park and everyone else was at the Sheraton.
The reason why Bob was so emotional during concert because he survived an assassination attempt on his life that is why this concocert has spiritual elements to it. Bob was a true Pan-Africansist in every sense of the word. Finally, in my option this is best live performance because it was so intense. Yes , Ina & Ina , M
It's amazing to see somebody giving their whole being up to a musical performance, all his emotional/personal/spiritual energy goes into this, it's very powerful.

I really loved the One Love movie! I will remember seeing it with my son in the theater and singing along together for the rest of my life. My gratitude for you Bob! Thank you for spreading love across the planet and to all of us! Blessings and love to all my brothers and sisters ❤️✨🙏
His songs do make me feel deeply sad, but also very glad. Sad that his amazing life journey ended at just 36 years of age, yet so very glad I began enjoying his music in 1976, this old white woman remains a solid fan, at 65 years of age! Bob surely smiled upon the “One Love” movie, which ignited a spark with his longtime fans, that became a great big roaring flame, as millions more fans were made across movie theaters, all around the world. He would be extremely proud that Rita and his family exclusively employed many, many, 1,000’s of local Jamaican people, making sure his story was told by those who were there and loved him. Almost everyone living in Trenchtown is in that movie, as are many 100’s who knew him personally. I had to wait and watch this one at home, knowing I would cry for sure, it made me very emotional, knowing how “it ended”. 4th time watching, I was done crying, I danced and sang along here in my cozy home. Smoked myself plenty of exquisite ganga to set the right mood, and lively up myself! While always knowing he was Rastafarian and saw Jah as his God…it made me VERY happy to know he was indeed Baptized in Africa, and when I enter those Heavenly gates and find my mama, grandparents, family members and really good friends, I’ll look for the musicians and songwriters whose music mattered so much to me. I know God was well pleased with the life works of His precious son, Robert Nesta Marley, who changed the world with his humble guitar and heart filled with love. Bless his family, and remember, play his music often, loudly, and be generous with the volume so the neighbors can enjoy some Bob Marley too🙏❤️🙏
I’m with you on that & I can only go by what I’ve seen through the years on tv & now CZcams as I never saw the Gong live but this show in terms of bobs intensity & the way the band was playing (real slow & rootsy!) is the best show I think he ever done & obviously the circumstances surrounding the show just added to the greatness of his performance
