Nicole, great channel and excellent playing. PLEASE help me with these plugins. Right now i have the focus right i installed. I can open the program and from there im lost. What confuses me is the pluguns/software. I tried amplitude and its too confusing. Am i going about this right? Focusrite to pro tools to my choice of software for the amp sim? How do they work with each other. Im lost
Rob Winter Rob, once you’ve installed the plugin it should automatically appear in your DAW, wherever your plugins are located. It also works as a stand alone if you just plug straight into the Focusrite, which I’m sure you’ve done already. Once you’ve opened it in your DAW this video should help you get started. I hope this helps a little bit. :)
Thanks for the video! How do you feel the Cali differs the most from Nameless? Also: you have a lot of noise issues in the signal, (just like me). I'm talking about that "bzzz" that you fight with the gate(s). Do you think that's EMI? Cheers!
Both pedals add a lot of gain. Also, the violence switch and pull/push add even more gain. That will lift your noise floor enough to hear the noise that loud, same with analog gear.
Thanks for answering, Francisco! And to answer your questions about the difference between the two plugins; the Nameless does is strictly a high gain amp. The Cali has a bit more versatility with the clean channel and the overall sound although high gain, is different than the Nameless. There’s a few features on the front of the Cali that the Nameless doesn’t have. If you go to the Neural site you can hear SoundCloud clips of the Nameless in diff gain settings. Hope that helps!
Dunno if it is my computer but once i switch one of the switches on the bottom of the amp face I can not switch it back unless I change presets. You have this same problem?
DJ RITM hey! So in order to engage the switches on the bottom of the amp you need to hold down your mouse and drag it in the direction you want it to go, then let go of the mouse. Hope this helps :)

pilapi1685 there are two noise gates on this plugin, I like to use both especially when using both overdrive pedals, really helps!

Sounds good, but Nameless still holds the crown imo. Both Cali and NTS lack the sharpness the Meshuggah sim has.
