Beautiful game plan by Trinidad. He jabs moves to his left and keeps Waters moving to his right. This gave Trinidad the momentum of running Waters right into that [BIGLEFT HOOK] wich is a very ring savy and smart way of fighting by Trinidad. I love the angles that he uses he is great technician in the ring always using angles and catching counters. Felix Trinidad is a master at this and has perfected the [LEFT HOOK] and the use of angles and range.
Tito had to do this fight at 153 to send a mixed message to de la Hoya that he was having problems to do the 147. And de la Hoya had a history of doing fights with small opponents going up on weight and when they were struggling to make weight.
This guy looks scared to fuckin death at the opening bell. 2:20 I know this is only like an 8min. vid. Not lookin good for this guy. Tito... have mercy..miho! "...all the way from australia to gktfo." That was cold.
Looks like waters got paid to take a drive, or he owed someone money & had to pay off the debt & took the drive. Tito had nothing to do with it but that what it looks like.
TITO was by far the best at this weight,if mayweather is so great go on and prove it at a higher weight instead of fighting over the top padt it fighters, tito may of lost a couple in the end but he didnt hide,n duck anybody, tito mayweather would of bin a great fight but me ole tito would have buried him.
Michael Kent Yeah I agree because it wasn't like the next generation of fighters had any greats at that time. Nobody Trinidad couldn't have beaten at least.
Soy boricua and imo Floyd and Tito are not the greatest in this weight. Tito was one of the best but welterweight you have a long history with Emile Griffith, 2 Sugar Ray's, Thomas Hearn, De la Hoya, Kid Gavilen, Armstrong etc
Yea ive investigated over the years, im a huge trinidad fan still, but he definitely stacked his knuckles with layers of tape and gauze to in effect make a very solid, almost cast like handwrap. He hit extremely hard already but those wraps really took his power to a new levels during fights. Its evident here, the Vargas fight, the thiam and joppy fights
@@marcoantonioc5437 So what can you explain about the Mayorga fight? He was supervised so he won't wrap in his original way, and ended up busting up Mayorga worse than Vargas or Joppy. I'd say his pinpoint accuracy was a natural talent.
@@char-lee212 well mayorga always had a great chin, thats no doubt, and although tito was the first guy to kayo mayorga, tito still took quite a few rounds to stop him, landing heavily in those rounds, with his pinpoint accuracy as u said. Thats evidence enough that tito was not wearing stacked wraps anymore. Also, mayorga jas aid the hardest puncher he faced was Miguel cotto, i think if tito was wearing stacked wraps ricardo woudlve said trinidad instead
@@marcoantonioc5437 But what I'm saying is, Tito busted him up more than anyone else. With no excessive wrapping. And that doesn't make cotto better than Tito.
@@char-lee212 never said cotto was better than tito, i said that mayorga, when asked who the hardest puncher he faced, it was cotto. Anyways, no denying trinidad stacked his wraps. I love him still
Well amigo I didn't even blink , halaroius 🤙👆🇵🇷🙏❤️🌍
When a boxer goes down for 9 seconds Mr. Announcer it is not a "flash" knockdown, its the real deal.
Trinidad made him in awe of him after that! Borinken power!
Thanks for all these excellent Tito posts !
Felix Tito Trinidad was the best Puerto Rican boxer ever I like Miguel Cotto but Felix would have knocked his ass out in probably 3 rounds

+Armando Ramirez if tito stayed at same weight he would have retired unbeaten, cheers gheezer

The original dream fight was Trinidad vs Norris but it never happened, so they decided to have dela hoya as the dream fight instead.
Erik Muniz ; Norris was not at the level of Trinidad and De la Hoya.
Norris was completely past his prime in 1997, prime Norris would've killed trinidad
@@melvinreginald4624 Casual, Norris was one of the best boxers in the world in his time
Norris never can’t beat Trinidad, this guy have to much powers🤛
Terry Norris ducked Trinidad but Was a mistake , Jackson was waiting for him with a ugly ko.
The Jackson fight happened several years before this
Tito ended a lot of boxers careers like, Fernando Vargas, jury boy campas, ect,..
