    great teacher you are! when i layer sounds over the sampled sound, the sample will cut or "chop" out... how do you change that setting?

    Thank you very much for the video it was so helpful :), But one bit you didn't cover in the 'SAMPLE EDIT'' page was 'SLICE'
    In the 'SLICE' option, it has 'SPLIT / COMBINE' I don't know exactly what they do

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  Před 6 lety +2

      Hi, Split splits the slice you are in into two slices. The combine combines the slice you are in with the previous slice. Thanks for watching

  •  Před 4 lety

    Do you normalize your samples in sample edit or just leave them be?

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  Před 4 lety +1

      rarely I normalize samples

    •  Před 4 lety

      @@mpchead i made a sequence on my MPC 5000 its sucks far as drum patterns its off

  • @apcookinup8088
    @apcookinup8088 Před 4 lety

    Every time I chop and make slices and put them into pads and assign them they keep playing from the first pad only

    • @apcookinup8088
      @apcookinup8088 Před 4 lety

      Even if I assign slice 7 to pad 7 it won’t play slice 7 it will play slice 1 and it’s confusing me it randomly started doin this anyone know why?

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  Před 4 lety

      simultaneous play? I am not sure

    After loaded the sample from library in the HD, i would like to use it in pad perform to make a new chord melody through but hitting the pads no sound come from. What i'm missing to setup?

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  Před 6 lety +1

      Hi Christian. pad perform works with keygroups, midi or plugins and "not" with drum programs. If you want to use a sample and play it chromatically you should load the sample to a keygroup program or use the 16 levels.

    • @biturbo
      @biturbo Před 6 lety

      MPC HEADZ thanks bro. Appreciated 🙂

    • @biturbo
      @biturbo Před 6 lety

      MPC HEADZ I’ve another strange problem in chords. The sound seems artifacts. Is it me? Too much pitched :/

    • @mpchead
      @mpchead  Před 6 lety

      You warped the sound? go to the preferences and change the warp algorithm to Best. try adjusting the buffer size as well.

    • @biturbo
      @biturbo Před 6 lety

      MPC HEADZ nope the problem, when you hit lower notes the sample goes slowly and pitched down and viceversa going up faster and pitched up. I want to use same tempo
