Anavae Ru It’ll probably be in Neo-On so that I can do a Ho-Oh deck and History video back to back like I have with Lugia. But I do love Ho-Oh cards and much prefer them to Lugia.
I absolutely love your videos🙏 Ive been building decks for old formats and they're so damn fun! Was wondering if you could do a video on ruling and/or rulesets for the older formats and how they changed from each WotC format. I've been trying to play these old decks and it's often unclear how special conditions, retreating, and certain effects worked at the time. Keep it up, your videos deserve WAY more viewership, I've been recommending them to everyone! Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing, it highly contributes to the growth of the channel, and very happy that you enjoy the content :). I've been meaning to do a huge video on WotC rulings, but my job has been so busy lately that I haven't been able to upload regularly or even spend time on videos. So I will get to it eventually, though it may be a while.
I'm a new sub, and I noticed that you took requests in the past. I have an idea. A deck that I always ran on the GBC game. I don't know the official names of the cards, but it was a deck centered around bench damage using Spark Pikachu, Gigashock Raichu, and similar cards to annihilate an opponent's bench after a few turns of setup.
Neo Revelation Lugia is a great tech in Rocket-LC. Specially in Venusaur decks. The coin flip effect is actually quite usable vs the Steelix Matchup. I've also seen it use it in stall decks.
i have a lugia/ho oh collection, thanks for showing me all these obscure items i didnt know about like the hgss theme decks. r.i.p my bank account tho, just checked ebay lmao
I don't know, dude. Is Game Boy Lugia, really that underwheling? You have more gameplay experince than me, so maybe can see something I don't. But it's a basic with 100Hp, that does *at least* 20 damage, but as much as 60, and is going to be averaging 40, turn two. And it does not care what type of deck it's in.
It does deserve a bit more credit than I give it. A lot of other Neo decks had much higher output on Turn 2, but gameplay did slow down a lot in Neo-On so Lugia would be an early-game tank.
@@shuckletcg Fair enough. Personally, I don't think it's super powerful either. Though I can see why it wasn't allowed in competitive play by the creators. It's above "Media Factory's curve". Back then they had hard design rules, a Basic Pokemon could only do 10 damage, without a downside, per colorless, or 20 on coin flip, since that averages out to 10. This card is effectively doing 20 on a single colorless while also having gargantuan health. Of course, Lickitung was above curve too, Tongue Wrap only costing 1 Colorless with 90 Health was kind of nuts.
i kind of love the janky CGI models and i can somewhat appreciate them for the time they were made in and i much prefer them to Ken Sugimori renders on a generic background. absolutely boring, I've always hated those
And now we will all patiently await the Ho-Oh video. Saving the best for last I see :P

I dig this, I love to see more
I currently have Ho-Oh, Scizor, and Tyranitar lined up for History videos. Wanna add one to the list?
