Leave it be for 9-11 minutes. It comes out perfect. I add a bit of hot sauce and it's amazing!

So far I've tried Pasta Bolognese, Cajun Pasta, and Mexican Chili. Mexican Chili is great. I'll buy that gain. Both pastas were not good at all. I'm going to try the other rice based options, but I'll give Mac and Cheese a try.

great, I'm looking forward to trying a few of these Hot and Savoury meals. shame (and surprising) that the packaging isn't easily recyclable yet
Started on Huel Black Ed. Paired with cardio. Lost a lot of weight.
But the hard part is when you start to smell savoury food on a shared flat.
And it is so hard to resist.
So now on the hunt if the mac and cheeze and even the bolognese one taste good.

Good shout - I wonder if this packaging counts, it’s quite a thick soft plastic if you know what I mean.
@@TheVeganRunner they accept it where I am as well as cling film, plastic packets from bags of salads, dried pasta etc. Everything that can't go in your bottle and tin council box

Thank you - yeah it is pretty futuristic. I like the idea of a really simple, highly nutritious meal you can make in a few minutes - it makes making better choices a lot easier.
@@TheVeganRunner Crazy to see what options are out there now. When I first when vegan about 10 years ago you would struggle to get soya milk in the supermarket!

How much water did you add? Ive added 250ml as per recipe with two spoons of Mac & chese but it became super liquid. I will try with less water next time
I added the same as you - try giving the pack a really good shake, I tried the Cajun pasta recently and had a really liquid lunch. Next time I shook the pack like mad and it was perfect 👌

I haven’t looked at the other flavours but I do have a bag of the Thai curry sitting in my cupboard waiting for review - I’ll let you know how it is 👍
Was a bit disappointed when i tasted the huel mc and cheese tasted super nutty and kind of bitter, even after adding butter, chili and a splash of milk it still has the bitter nut taste...
Ah that's strange, I didn't get that kind of taste at all. I wonder if it's worth reaching out to Huel and describing your experience, it may be an 'off' batch?

How did you find the portion size?
It’s lunch-sized, I’d say. About right for me, but you could use more/less as necessary.
It’s just 400 kcal but you feel pretty full
They should have customers send back packaging for refilling the next order
Good idea 👍 They’d end up having to redesign the existing packaging for this though as I don’t think it’s up to the task of multiple-uses. 🤞The solution comes quicker than 2025

Tastes and people are different...but for me..the Mac & CheeZ is not good at all. Very grainy, nothing like the real thing. I expect the vegan cheeze is my biggest problem with it. None of that smooth creaminess that real cheese / bachamel sauce gives you. I imagine for vegan food taste-alikes it's pretty good. But I'd rather have the real thing. The Tomato & Herb is more tasty and faithful to what tomato & herb actually tastes like.
All that said, for all the other benefits of the product, it's good enough to consume for a quick meal. And adding other spices/hot sauce makes it a lot more palatable.
We've been making our homemade mac and cheese sauce using cashews these days.... you thought milk was creamy! Give those bad boys a try sometime!
