Hi Jimmy, Thanks for all of your content. Its a great help. Could you do a video on how to speak well/ speak clearly/ sound good while using a microphone Best wishes
I sing in a band but feel when I’m speaking between songs I sound muffled/ muddy. Some people sound great speaking into a mic. Such as people who narrate audiobooks/ podcasters/ stand up comedians etc. They sound clear as a bell with a smooth rich and warm tone along with crisp articulation. They don’t have much sibilance or plosives and their voices carry with a nice amount of edge to cut though any background noise. Could you perhaps offer any tips on where to ‘place’ the voice or any techniques that you may use while talking into a microphone that might differ from talking in everyday life or should you just speak as though the microphone is not there? Should our speaking technique vary in anyway when using a microphone or will this just improve naturally as a by product of an improved speaking voice in general?
