    How about ARDS and PEEP? How will that affect the sequence? Will you have low cvp because too much peep lowers venous return or you will have high capillary pressure cause you are crushing the capillaries? ARDS will give some edema to the lungs, non-cardiogenic… will that give you high capillary pressure too?

  • @jamiemarquard8353
    @jamiemarquard8353 Před 2 lety

    How do you put breath sounds like diminished or rales with Hemodynamics

  • @abidebytalyar4028
    @abidebytalyar4028 Před 3 lety +1

    CVP = 2-6mmHg / 4-12 cmH2O ,PAP =25/8 or 13-14, PCWP = 4-12 CO is 4-8, these are the 2021 update normal ranges.

  • @SlipperySocks
    @SlipperySocks Před rokem

    I see that CHF and PCWP also have the same pattern, so how do we define which one is which.
    Will the PCWP stay normal, or down when it was the main reason?

  • @bobbibattis1917
    @bobbibattis1917 Před 4 lety +1

    Thanks for the video, trying to stay current during time away from clinics :( ...2 questions...if all pressures are up and your hypervolemic what would you give? Diuretic? And what about cor pulmonary? Would you have increased cvp? Thanks in advance your much appreciated!!

    • @RespiratoryCoach
      @RespiratoryCoach  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Bobbi. Yes and yes. All hemodynamic values being increased is a sign of hypervolemia and a diuretic would be indicated, or dialysis in the case of CKD. Cor pulmonale is an enlarged right ventricle due to increased pulmonary vasculature resistance, which will cause an increased CVP. Commonly associated with COPD, which is due to the chronic hypoxemia causing chronic pulmonary vasoconstriction. To treat, a pulmonary vasodilator is indicated, most commonly oxygen to treat chronic hypoxemia, but in rare cases nitric oxide may be used to decrease pulmonary vascular resistance. Does that make sense? I hope so. Best wishes and thanks for watching!
