my parents unexpectedly are getting divorced. i’m leaving for college in a week. i struggle with bad anxiety and depression and an eating disorder. thru all this, gospel music (especially their gentle voices) gives me some layer or strength that ik im not able to muster up by myself. i’m grateful for music and jesus’s love and plan and strength and eternal perspective so much because without it, it’s hard to feel that thin blanket of light over me. i’m not saying i’m not gonna feel the deepest hurt- but i do gain grit and comfort and hopefully soon healing, from letting this into my life.

I recently joined the church choir because I was prompted by the spirit this way I can feel more of the what Heavenly Father’s will for my family. I too I’ve been a member of the CJCLDS. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ is my earthly home. I choose to stay firm with my faith despite of all the odds. It’s never been easy but life is all about choices we make regardless of circumstances ie death of loved ones, ill health, racism and all. I choose life over death though there had been many dark times I felt envy for the dead. Life is hard to many people and I count my blessings to be alive and have families and friends. They don’t just happen we have to invest to have great and lasting meaningful relationships in this life. Nothing comes free in living.

Thank you for reminding me that no matter how hard things get, or how badly I mess things up, the miracle is that Jesus Christ can still lift me up, and that through Him, I am still someone worth being. I am sometimes very hard on myself for not living up to impossible standards... but no matter how down I get, or how much my heart is burdened, when I listen to the still small voice, which today whispered to me through this song, I am reminded that it's not about what I can or cannot do. It's about what Jesus can help me become. It's about His sanctification and magnification of my efforts. Thank you for such sweet hope and reminding of that truth. You ladies are magnificent!! The song is a great example of our belief in Christ and our belief in Christ and what he did for us is represented beautifully through the awe-inspiring lyrics. We identify ourselves with the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and this signifies to the world that we are in fact Christians, although unlike other Christian religions we do not believe in the ‘trinity’. We believe that our Heavenly Father, our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost are 3 seperate individual beings that make up what we call the ‘Godhead’. Hey Elenyi, this is Brandon, your online friend. I have three mental disorders being left untreated right now and have gone back and forth to hindu psychiatrist, no job at twenty seven, still live at home with parents and really just felt saved by God in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. All I can say is that your music is one of the few things keeping me from slipping too far down and if not for it I would be utterly helpless. Thank you for uplifting those who are ill, suffer, and are sick. The Lord will bind up my heart and hopefully heal my mind in His appointed ways and in His timing. Pray for me please.
