One thing Brian said, "We want to write melodies we haven't heard before" gives me a lot of confidence in their future. It tells me they're going to better assimulate their influences and "find their own voice" as they discussed in the interview. Saw them on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and was just plain knocked out. Best new band out there right now.

Other than Bryan’s clothing there’s really nothing Wes Anderson about them in terms of their attitude or style..wes Anderson music is more Van and Paul Simon, Kinks

They put it very straightforward from the interview. They are musicians making music. Don't ask them to explain themselves in front of the camera. Sensitive people don't work that way.

You gotta wait till kids will start hearing mom and dad's punk records -- if mom and dad are still alive, lol - for those bands to reemerge. It's great to see bands like this find a niche. When I was coming up, it was cool to hate all the influences they cite, even though, of course, bands were listening to it in secret. .
